Chapter 1: Outcast with depression.

(Location: Antarctica - Unnoticed cave, 297 years later) 

???: (Looks about 14 years old with pale white skin and white wavy locks, icy blue eyes while wearing a blue frosted hoodie (hood hiding her face) and pants while barefoot, Staff (Snowflake at the end) in her hands close, having a restless sleep)

Zerena sighed as she laid down on North's sofa. "I'm b-" she started. 

"Don't say it! Don't say the b word!" Bunny exclaimed.

???: (giving up after trying to sleep before cutting her arms with a sharp icicle as a knife, letting the blood come out)

"Aw come on kangaroo we gotta have some fun." Jack smiled. 

Zerena smiled as Tooth came over. "Hiya Tooth." She smiled. 

"Hi everyone." She said with a smile. Jack and Zerena paused for a moment. "What's wrong guys?" Tooth asked making bunny look over. 

"I just felt something weird is all." Zerena said as Jack agreed. 

"A spirit?" Tooth smiled. 

"I don't think so." Jack said. 

???: (doesn't care a bit while adding more cuts on her arms, biting her lip hard underneath her hood)

Pitch planned his journey as he thought of Monica, the little girl he saved the one day. The sad thought made him frown as he packed a bag and got onto his nightmare horse the last one of them all. Pitch was ready to be gone for a while as he closed the entrance to his lair and made his way towards a mountain.

???: (finished cutting her arms and wrists after sometime later before covering the arms with her sleeves, set her head on the wall of the cave)

North walked into the room with a book in his hands, it was a book he has read several times after becoming enemies with Pitch Black. He's tried to solve the riddle for many years and could not figure it out. Tooth flew towards North with a curious look.

 "Is that the myth I think it is?" Tooth asked. "It's rumored to be a myth, but nobody has figured out this weird riddle on the single page." North said with an annoyed sigh. 

Bunny continued to paint an egg as he listened to the conversation. With Easter coming in close, kids would be running around and teeth would be in high demand for Toothiana. 

"Has anyone been able to confirm where Pitch went?" Zerena asked. 

"We defeated him, what else is there?" North asked. 

Zerena rolled her eyes. "You can not die. Pitch can't die. Maybe he has tamed the horses once more. Maybe he is planning something." She pointed out. 

"Yeah, we can always patrol around Burgess and other places too." Jack shrugged in agreeance. 

"It wouldn't hurt." Tooth said. 

"You guys go ahead. I'm trying to make it a little easier on me for next year to make about 25,000 more than usual. It will be able to help me get time off when you guys need me next year." Bunny said as he quickly tapped his foot and went home. 

"Well that's a bummer." North sighed. 

Sandy looked down the hole Bunnymund disappeared in before it closed up with a small daisy in its place as he plucked it and made a sand vase for it with a big smile on his face.

Zerena decided to let Jack head to the colder areas as she looked in the warmer weather areas and fall areas. "We will meet back at Burgess." Zerena mentioned. 

"Alright. North start looking in the more populated cities and country's and Tooth look in the most populated areas for kids." Jack said. 

"Right." They both smiled. 

"Sandy... Just do your things Sandy." North smiled as Sandy gave a thumbs up. 

Jack left and Tooth and North took off quickly after. Zerena paused as she looked to a now sleeping Sandy. She couldn't shake the feeling like something was wrong and that Pitch was planning something. She sighed before heading towards the fall area of the closest city. Starting from there eventually moving towards another city farther away. And checked in on Bunny since his place was always warm. She told them they just started and wanted to check in on him as he waved her goodbye. Zerena then went to a small city a little ways away from Burgess since it was not just quite fall yet. No leaves had fallen and things were still slightly green with a small layer of frost on them. Searching through the city didn't help her find anything as she started heading to the more warmer cities and country's. Even passing through Texas just to make sure. 

Jack started searching the North pole as he started making his way towards Greenland and heading towards the South pole. Jack looked around as he didn't see anything, even penguins or any activity. He wrote in the snow. 'No signs of life' Jack left the note before leaving, as he finished his search he headed towards Burgess. He was passing through the mountains when he thought he saw something move. He went down cautiously. As he looked around and saw nothing. He sighed before continuing his way. 

Pitch glared at Jack from a bush as he gently stroked his horses mane.

Pitch continued his way up the mountains as he kept an eye out for any of the other guardians as he reached the top. He got off his horse and sent her home for now. He jumped as high as he could as he searched for a stable cloud which held a secret passage. 

Jack flew towards Jamie's house with a smile as he saw him and his sister playing. 

"I missed him too." Zerena laughed as she sat on the same tree branch making Jack jump. 

"I didn't realize you were there." Jack laughed. Zerena and Jack smiled as they were about to head towards the kids when Tooth and North caught up with them.

???: (managed to get herself awake from the disturbing "dream", catching her breath while calming down, along with the snowstorm she created in Antarctica) 

/ Calm down, fucking idiot... it'll never be actually real.../ ??? thought to herself bitterly.

Zerena's smile fell as she felt as if she was sinking into a deep hole. 

Jack looked to her as Tooth looked to North nervously. "You checked the North and South pole?" She asked. 

"Yeah, I even left a note saying how I couldn't find any source of life." Jack said. 

Zerena squinted. "I'll be back." She said as she got up quickly and raced towards the South pole. The wind making her fly faster.
