Purpled(he/xe/star) and Punz(he/they/rose)

Plot:c!Punz phones his brother instead of calling for help to just hear him one last time
Head cannons:c!Purpled and c!Punz are brothers. c!Purpled is an alien
Punz wasn't the type to be a very sentimental but as he lay dying on the ground. They knew rose wouldn't make it home to his little brother Purp. Oh god who would be the person to break the new to him that xer older brother died? Punz knew being a mercenary would cost them their life at one point but rose didn't think that moment would be now. He just signed and without thinking they called Purp, or the best rose could.
It was very painful to move, even the slightest bit of movement for him hurt like hell. Even though Punz could have called for help they decided to call Purp one last time before their time ran out.
Meanwhile with Purp. Star was stressing, he knew xer brother would be back soon like how he usually was. A ring broke stars's train of thought. He ran over to the phone and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Purp,,"
It was Punz! But Purp realized something that made xem more worried, was Punz hurt? No no he currently not.
"Punz,,are you hurt?,"
There was a short pause before Punz answered.
"No I'm not,,why would you think that?,,"
Punz was angry and Purp knew he would be the last person Punz would be mad at. But xey knew they were hiding something but star didn't push further on the matter. He knew that Punz was okay, or at least xey hoped so. They talked for a bit and every time Punz talked he sounded weaker. Until at one point Punz just stopped talking. That made Purp worried sick but unknown to him Punz just spent their last few minutes with xem. Punz died but rose was happy, he got to spend their last few minutes with the person rose loved more than anything, one last time but hey at least Purp wouldn't be upset that xey didn't get to hear him one last time.
