Prompt #5.
— — — • — —
"What did you want once this was all through? Tell me!"

"I hope you got what you wanted."

((Based around a Female ||Sorceress|| reader. Rowena.))

"There's actually a surprising amount of fluff in here at the end. YOU'RE WELCOME!!"
— — — • — — —

This was the final straw. Her LAST of the many straws she had tossed aside all for the love of the elder witch.

Rowena was truly an enigma, and nothing could tie her down and keep her stuck for too long.

You thought you were 10 steps ahead? Wrong. She was at least 20. Like son like mother.

Though you admired that about her, hence why you stood by her side all these years as an under-grading sorcerer. That wasn't the only reason.

You harbored many feelings towards the witch. I mean, who wouldn't?

While she cared to describe herself as an 'Evil Skank', she wasn't truly awful. She was an endearing character you grew so very fond of with your combined hundred-years of age.

Not to mention, you found her drop dead gorgeous.

Every waking hour of yours was spent with her. Whether that be by royally screwing with her son's demonic economy, or simple hexes on the Winchester crew.

And then when everything went balls to the walls with Lucifer, you had it. You were truly fed up.

To say she had an infatuation with the Dark Prince was putting it lightly. Very lightly.

He had fixed that issue himself, disposing of her using the Winchester's unlucky angel as fodder to the fire.

You weren't worried whatsoever when he had. Like mentioned earlier, she always thought ahead when things went awry.

To say you were surprised about Lucifer's actions would be a total and complete lie. You knew plenty about his character to have made that judgement early on.

You had really only wanted to say something alone the lines of  'I told you so.' -or 'That's on you, sweetheart.' -but you couldn't bring yourself to that.

It was an already unspoken agreement between the both of you that you had been right, no matter how much it lit a fire under her very feet.

Even then, there would be the occasional smart comment from your end, and a complex string of curses from hers.

"Seriously, Rowena. What did you hope to get out of this? Yeah, yeah. 'He's attractive!' Blah, blah, blah."

"You'd be best to quiet yourself, dearie. It was a slight of tongue! It wasn't MY fault everything had gone the way it did. Blame sweet, little Fergus for his insolence."

"Oh, honestly Ro.. Be real to yourself! Crowley hardly had a part to play. He's Lucifer's PERSONAL LAP DOG. He couldn't sweep anything under his nose without leaving something behind as a trail."

She was fuming. Fuming was even the right word to describe how she had felt, or even the expression gracing her face this very moment.

If she could melt your face right off, she would have. Actually, she was very well capable of doing that, she chose not to.

Rowena's strength over her impulse control was incredibly in check today, despite your consistent testing of it.

"You really had to go and materialize playing the devils advocate, huh? You are a piece of work, Ro."

"Clever as always, aren't you girlie? That silver tongue of yours would be nice hanging on my wall. Maybe even used as my grimoire's letter mark. Doesn't that sound enthralling?"

"What did you hope to gain from being his Witch-Bitch? You know, I don't care for an honest answer. I just hope you got what you wanted. You certainly did get what you bargained for."

You and her were silent after that, not exchanging much more than occasional sorrowful glances from your books.

You had meant at least half that, no matter how cruel it sounded. You should have given her a break, Rowena didn't need that. Especially not now.

You hadn't truly meant to hurt her feelings. Rowena was hardly ever open about how she felt, but you knew some about her to know when something rubbed her the completely wrong way.

"It hurt, you know. What he did to me. A lot, actually. I think what you had said hurt more, though."

"Rowena..."

You paused. You really fucked the bucket with this one, hadn't you? No matter how true it was to you, it was the worst thing to say. You were hurt, but she was broken to pieces.

"Rowena, that was completely uncalled for. I'm sorry. I never even took that into consideration."

"You didn't think too hard about it. It's alright, lovely."

She was still using your pet names. Maybe you hadn't fucked up so badly.

"No! It isn't, it isn't okay at all! Please, I apologize, seriously. That was wrong of me."

She set her book down, finally taking her nose away from it. The lightest trail of tears had fallen from her unusually rosy cheeks.

"I don't know what I was thinking doing any of that. I comprised everythin'! The Winchester's ought a' have my head!"

You drew your hand across her own, pushing her demonology book completely down onto the table. Carefully drawing your other hands index and thumb finger across the stream of tears.

"Rowena, hon. You just hadn't considered. Lucifer is a snake, in every sense of the word. Running around with the Winchester's long enough, you'd firsthand know that."

Rowena shut her reddened eyes, her thin brows crinkling with thought.

"You're everythin'. My everythin'. I should of thought of you first, not that damned, bloody snake! That was selfish."

Everything was quiet again between the two of you. Nothing to be exchanged, only the silent agreement.

"I didn't know you felt that way, Ro."

She sniffles, laughing pitifully.

"Of course I feel that way. You're bloody incredible. I'm happy I stole you from those wretched boys. My life has been so much brighter with ya' innit."

You squeezed her hand tight with your own, much tougher ones.

"I was ecstatic when you asked me to study under you. An honor. I didn't know if I would make it any longer as a hunter, especially with those boy's long track record."

"I needed you more than they ever would'a. That's extremely selfish of me, but I don't care anymore."

Rowena stood up, hand in hand, and pulled you to your feet beside her. She was significantly taller, by quite a few inches.

"It would be the the highest honor if ya' would stay by my side. For as long as you wish, Dove."

You wrapped your lanky arms around her petite frame.

"I would love that, Rowena."

She chuckles long after your acceptance.

"What's so funny, Red?"

"I really did get what I wanted in the end."

"And what's that"

"You."

"Now you're stuck with me forever. I'm that of a leech, honestly. Hope you can cope with that awful news."

"Well then you'll be my favorite leech. The best compromise fer' both worlds."
