I get to pier and see no one.
So I call out.
“John? You here? John?”
Suddenly, a helicopter comes flying over to my location.
The hell, John’s in a chopper?
My theory is proven wrong when the helicopter speaker goes off.
“John White, we’re here to extract you. Please maintain your current position,”
Then I get a call from John.
“You brought a chopper? I told you to come alone!”
“They’re not with me! I don’t know who they are!”
“Dammit!”
John runs out from a nearby bus, and down the street.
The helicopter starts to pursue him.
“John, there’s no need to run, we’re here to help you,”
Just then I remember that Moya could hear everything I’ve been saying. So I call her out.
“Why the hell did you send a chopper? John took off!”
“I didn’t send anything - if it’s the First Sons, you need to get to John before they do. Follow that chopper, and don’t let it out of your sight. One other thing - it looks like John is scrambling his signal because all I get is static. I’m trusting you on this one, Cole. Keep me informed,”
“Not like I got much of a choice,”
I start to chase after the helicopter.
“Stand down, John! This operation’s been terminated,”
“No one’s taking me in!”
John turns and shoots a pistol at the helicopter.
“Dammit, John! Cease fire! We’re here to get you out!”
Suddenly, a huge chunk of metal flies into the helicopter and damages it. The gas tank falls onto the pavement and the helicopter falls into the water.
I look and a golem did this.
It picks up the gas tank and prepares to throw it at me.
For a second, time slows down.
I aim at the gas tank, ready to blow it up, but at the last second I see injured civilians on the ground. If I blow up the tank, they’ll certainly die.
I put my hand down and instead opt to run. The golem throws the tank and when in hits the ground, the tank explodes.
A shard hits the bottom of my spine and my left shoulder with great force.
“Damn!”
My legs go limp and I fall to the ground.
The golem walks over to me and swings at me.
I lift my right hand up and launch a powerful shockwave. The golem is sent backwards and falls down.
I use all my strength to get on my feet. I charge my hand with all the power I have left and stagger towards the golem.
When I reach the golem, I punch it with all my might, sending all of my energy through it. Afterwards, I fall to the ground.
The energy I released is so great that the shockwave travels down the street.
I start to lose consciousness. I used too much energy but atleast the golem’s down.
I can hear John’s muffled voice speaking to me.
