You sat on a couch as Ashton and Dice pace back and forth bickering about you.
"Dice what I did for you was pure luck, and hella hard work, you can't raise a kid." Ashton shook his head.
"I can, we get along and stuff. It's easy man, you did it, and that's saying something." Dice pointed out for Ash to see his point.
"That was a promise I gave ya ma, I had not choice, I was 13 and your ma said watch cha, then never came back. Little 1 year old you was hell." Ashton shot back.
"Yet you did it! He's 11 it's not that hard!" Dice pointed to you. "Can you say no to that face Ashy? Can ya?" Ashton groaned at how Dice continued to beg. "What if it's nature saying it's my turn!"
"Call nature and say no!" Ashton huffed, lighting a cigar. "Dice, I understand, ya like kids, but if you get caught with a kid, already being a son of a mixed pair, but you raising a hybrid, you'll get cha shelf killed like ya folks." Ashton shook his head.
"His villa ain't safe, this place is the only safe place Ash! You told me when I was 15 that, if I was ever super set on something, you'll help. I'm asking ya help." Dice took a deep breath. "We both know the chances of me and some Dame getting married and having kids are low, he's my chance, even if it's just to be the older brother."
"Fine... You win." Ashton sighed. "You're lucky I have a big soft spot." Dice smiled and nudged Ashton.
"See, it'll be a blast. Hey Kid, let's get food there's this diner you'll love! Music, great music, and the fair is next to it. Me and Wheezer gotta go cause we got a spot on stage." Dice smiled as he sat next to you.
"Yeah and we'll win this year for sure... stupid Ludwig." Ashton growled.
"Wait you're mixed?" You asked Dice.
"Yeah Ma was white, Pop was black. He owned the diner, she came looking for a friend but instead got a husband. I was a year when they got killed, Ash was babysitting that day, but I think they knew it was coming cause they never left me home before." Dice sighed as he took off his tie and gloves, fixing his suspenders. "But never let it define me." Your tail wagged knowing his parents died of injustice too. You thought you could relate.
"Never met my folks, mudda died during birth, fadda was mia. Did find out eventually he was picked for the hunting draft." You told the man next to you, the very man you admired with all your life.
"Ash's folks split on him, so he lived with his Ma. Ma died from smoking, something to do with her lungs. Made Ash promise he'd never smoke, that died out too." Dice pointed out.
"Aye, I don't smoke as heavy as her. She did at least 2 packs a day, I do a half." Ashton growled as he smashed a small piggy bank. "Groovy, we got 50 bucks, let's get that food man. You threw your arms up and cheered.
"Yay!" Dice couldn't help but smile as you grabbed his hand. "So if you and Mr.Wheezy have an act together-" Dice cut you off.
"In which you'll join if ya want."
"Wowee! Oki!" You smile. "What does he do?" Ashton grabbed a case and smirked.
"Sax."
"Fuck... my horn!!!" Dice cussed.
"What about it?" Ashton asked.
"He threw it in to the fire." You looked up at Ashton, who just facepalmed.
"We'll stop by Ray's." Ashton groaned. "Also you yelled at me for cussing yet here you are." Ashton teased. Dice paused covering his mouth.
"I am so sorry I didn't notice I did." Dice apologized quickly.
"Push over." Ashton shoved Dice in a playful manor.
"Oh shut up, some day I'll rule this town." Dice scrofted.
"Yeah and shining their shoes, apologizing for missing a spot." Ashton laughed. Dice pushed him as hard as he could. "The hair you twerp!" Ashton messed up Dice's hair causing him to gasp.
"This is how I get the ladies!" Dice took out a comb, fixing it.
"Don't see any ladies around Kingsley." Ashton sarcastically looked around.
"I hate you." Dice rolled his eyes. You giggled watching the 2 bicker.
