Wow I just realized how high-pitched my voice is that sounded straight outta some rom-com I think.
Anyways, I got out of bed, tried out the new outfit, my mom liked it at least. But then again she's my mom.
To school I go.
Charlie was thrilled to see me in the outfit she chose. She immediately hugged me when I got in to the bus. Is this a normal relationship with girls or are we just weird? I have no base reference.
Jen liked it as well.
"I've never actually worn a..." I paused, "Skirt before."
"Really?" Charlie did the eyebrow thing again.
"Yeah, so is there any like... Tips?"
"Just make sure there's no one in front of you when you're sitting down, like in a position to see up your skirt, you know?" Jen.
"That makes sense." I nodded in agreement.
I almost asked if normal girl friend groups were like this, but then I realized that it would make it seem like I had no friends before them.
So we just chatted, I checked through the groupchat because I didn't read it yesterday. Nothing important happened.
When I got out of the bus, I saw someone unexpected. Tom was standing there. Maybe waiting for his girlfriend.
I gave him a slight wave because... I don't know.
"Ah, I'm... sorry about Saturday." He spoke quietly.
"No, no, it's fine." I waved my hands in front of my face.
I guess he really is shier without his girlfriend. Anyways that was that exchange over.
"Oh yeah, I think I see Tom hanging around with Jared often." Charlie said.
She was thinking hard.
"Jared?"
"Oh yeah he's in my theater class."
Of course she's in theater. I took a drink of my water bottle.
"He's pretty cute."
I began coughing.
"Woah, are you okay?" She was smacking my back.
"Y..." I held a hand up, and coughed. "Yeah, I'm fine."
I finished coughing, and looked Charlie up and down. She's pretty cute, thinking about it. A girl like this likes Jared?
"You like Jared?"
"Yeah, you know him?"
"Uh..." I twirl my hair, "I mean you just told me about him, so kinda I guess."
She nodded to the side. "Yeah that's fair."
"Anyways, he's so dreamy." Am I about to listen to this girl gush over one of my best friends?
"Like, just look at him, and also he's so confident in his acting, and... and..."
Jen giggled quietly.
"Whaaat? You know it's true."
"Sorry, but he's like, nothing compared to the dude diagonal to him."
No way.
"That jock?"
"His name is Sammy."
"Pfft." That was me. "Hahahaha."
"What? You're telling me you're on Charlie's side?"
"No, no, I think they're both cool."
"Hopefully you aren't trying to get either of them, because I doubt we'd beat you on that." Charlie said, sighing.
