"So, I did a deep dive online, and you were right. Sensei's definitely Keene's father," Hawk said to Miguel as I sat down beside them and began stretching.

"You didn't believe me?" I scoffed.

"I did babe, I just wanted to know some more," he shrugged.

"I just don't understand why he wouldn't tell us," Miguel sighed with disappointment.

"Maybe because he isn't proud of the father he's been, Robby's told me quite a lot about Sensei," I admitted.

"It explains why he's giving us shit for kicking Keene's ass at the tournament. Show no mercy, unless it's his son. Then we've got to be pussies," Hawk told him.

"You did dislocate his shoulder," I raised my eyebrows at Hawk.

"If you're going to defend your little boyfriend anymore piss off it's annoying," Hawk rolled his eyes.

"He isn't my boyfriend," I complained.

"Oh yeah, I forgot he chose Sam over you," he fired back "Oh shit, yeah sorry man," he placed a hand on Miguel's shoulder.

"So I get awful treatment but Miguel doesn't? That's unfair," I got up and began to walk away.

"Babe, don't be like that, you know I'm here for you," Hawk followed after me while grabbing my arm.

"Me and Moon," I retaliated.

"I told you, until I can have you and only you, I'll have Moon as well, just like you have Robby," his tongue ran across his teeth.

"Well I don't have Robby anymore, do I?" I sighed.

"You can have me then," he wrapped his arm over my shoulders and pulled me back over to where Miguel was.

"Now's our chance," Miguel tapped Hawks leg before standing up and following Sensei to the back, I followed not far behind.

"Sensei, can we talk to you about something?" Miguel asked.

"Yeah yeah, I know," he replied.

"No, Sensei, it's about Robby Keene," Hawk admitted.

"What about him?" he said before looking at me, so I looked around the room cluelessly.

"I saw his picture on your refrigerator, I wasn't snooping but, we know he's your son," Miguel said while sounding upset.

"That's why you got mad at us after the tournament right?" Hawk questioned.

"Is that what you think?" Sensei replied sounding hurt.

"Um," Miguel stuttered.

"Yeah, Robby's my son, I bet you already knew that legs. But that has nothing to do with how I run my dojo, it's also none of your damn business. Do you understand?" he looked between the two boys.

"Yes, Sensei," Miguel nodded.

"But, but Sensei, I," Hawk started to speak.

"But, but nothing. Get out, you two can clean mats for the rest of the week," he demanded.

As Hawk and I left leaving Miguel with the man, I gave Sensei a sad smile and he nodded his head gratefully.

"Why was he like that?" Hawk slumped onto the floor.

"Because you both invaded his privacy?" I suggested.

"No, that's obviously not it," he rolled his eyes at me.

Miguel slumped next to Hawk feeling sorry himself.

"No, both of you, get the fuck up now and stop moping around alright, I told you about Robby but you should have let Sensei tell you in his own time," I sighed.
