Y/N P.O.V

Y/N:"Is you coming to my apartment routine now?"

Kiwi sat there, on MY couch, as if it were her home.

As predicted, she came earlier than expected. Kiwi appeared at 7:00 A.M, waking me in middle of my first dream. God damnit...

She was checking a couple of things from our new job. It seems it was gonna be a hard one. Meanwhile, I made my breakfast. A cup of hot chocolate with some biscuits. I also gave her a cup of chocolate. It seems she was a little bit hungry too. If you're wondering how she drinks, well, with a straw.

Kiwi:"Much better than the Afterlife or my apartment. I don't like noise. I have to find a new one... I like the chocolate by the way, thanks."

Y/N:"You're welcome. Anyways, what's up? You've been ignoring me for the past 10 minutes. Even if you're in my apartment..."

Kiwi:"Sorry. I was making sure I memorised everything. Our next job is for 20K."

After hearing that amount of money, I sat on the couch, interested.

Y/N:"Wow. What are we up against?"

Kiwi:"Maelstrom."

Y/N:"Those techno-freaks? What did they do this time?"

Kiwi:"They murdered someone's daughter. Now, an anonymous guy wants them dead. All of them."

Y/N:"How many do I have to kill?"

Kiwi:"40, excluding defensive turrets, mines and robots."

Y/N:"Finally, some good action. It's there a killstreak for 40?"

Kiwi:"There is. Come here, check this out."

Kiwi passed me the shard with all the info we need. It was a very big building, looks like a factory of sorts. I can see every guard and their shifts, but I can see the exact position of 15 of them. Also, the shard told me the position of every robot, turret and mine. Gotta keep all of this in mind.

Kiwi:"Time to put your skill to the limit. Think you can handle this?"

Y/N:"For sure. Piece of cake. But it's gonna take me a while. I'm also gonna try to not waste resources since I don't wanna spend 60K on anything."

Kiwi:"I'll be there to give you a hand."

Y/N:"Great. Wanna go now."

Kiwi:"No, too early in the morning. Let's rest a little."

Kiwi remove the shard and placed it back on her neck. I simply stared at her, not knowing what to do. Kiwi glanced at me and noticed my staring.

Kiwi:"What?"

Y/N:"Like... what do you wanna do?"

Kiwi:"I'm open to suggestions."

Y/N:"We could talk."

Kiwi:"I had in mind something more wild, but hey, whatever you want."

Y/N:"Tell me more about your group. Are they good?"

Kiwi:"The best, perhaps. I don't know of any other group of mercs capable of doing what we do. We are not like Adam Smasher or something like that but hey, we do honest work."

Y/N:"How big is your group?"

Kiwi:"Right now, we are 6. But... maybe we get our seventh member."

Y/N:"I wonder who would that be..."

Kiwi:"You're trying to be as cocky as me?"

Y/N:"Is it working?"

Kiwi chuckled. She glanced at me, her eyes softening for a spilt second. She always has that cold look but I swear I saw her "smile" with her eyes. She looked happy...
