The preparations are ready. We had the guns, the suits, the vehicles and the people to do it. Soon, we will raid MiliTech's base. But, before that, I've gotta make sure all of us were truly ready for this.
After having a bonding moment with Lucy and some breakfast, I meeted with David in the Night City's outskirts. We were supposed to meet each other there by 11:00. yet he arrived at 11:15. On his defense, I'll say that going here on foot is way worse that on a bike.
Why am I with him? Well, I need to make sure David knows how to handle a gun. As far as I know, he has a Sandevistan and more or less knows how to use it but a gun is a different thing. We are fighting dozens of soldiers, might as well make sure David can cover our asses. Even if his aim is... below average.
I was sitting on my bike, toying with my katana till David arrived. He yawned and leaned on the bike, staring at me.
David:"So... why are we here now? The base is not that far away. Wait... are you planning on-"
Y/N:"No you idiot, I'm not gonna throw myself at the fire. Specially if my only help it's you."
David:"Ow."
Y/N:"I'm here to give you this."

David grabbed it and checked it out, making some poses with it, as if he were a gangster.
David:"I never had one of these on my hands!"
Y/N:"You have experience with guns?"
David:"Does VR count as experience?"
Y/N:"No."
David:"Fuck."
Y/N:"I'll have to teach you then. Come, we'll ride somewhere safe."
I sat on the bike and David sat behind me, grabbing my hips to not fall. He was eyeing his new gun that was now on his belt.
The place I'm driving towards is the same ghost town Panam needed us in. No one lives there, so it's the perfect place for us to train his aim. I made sure to buy a couple of magazines so David can have enough bullets to train. He better be worth the money.
On our ride, David was surprisingly silent. I turned my head a moment to look at him. He had a worried expression on his face.
Y/N:"What's wrong?"
David:"Man, we're fighting MiliTech themselves. I think we're going on a suicide mission."
Y/N:"Everything will be okay."
David:"I dunno man... have you ever heard of the first Murphy Law?"
Y/N:"Trust me David, we will make it. You have me, after all."
