Aether, still not knowing what happened to the duo, spent his day doing his daily commissions and helping out around the city. However, after turning in the results of his completed commissions that Paimon suspected something is wrong.

"Hey, Aether. Don't you think those two are acting odd?"

"I didn't notice. But when you said it like that..."

"Aether?" Both Ayaka and Noelle called out in unison.

"Oh, it's you both. Is there something you two aren't telling me?"

"Everything is fine, Aether." Noelle flashes a smile, closing her eyes.

"Don't worry about anything. Tonight, let's just rest in the Serenitea Pot. I kinda pity Noelle for sleeping on the floor these last few days."

"Yeah. I don't want Noelle to catch anything dangerous too, so let's head in."

That's when Paimon noticed a glimpse of a familiar face within the eyes of the two girls, and grabbed Aether's arm.

"Aether, Paimon has a really bad feeling all of a sudden."

"What? Everything is fine, as they said. What could possibly go wrong if we rest in the pot for once?"

"For once, yes that would be a good idea but not now... Something is odd!"

"Maybe it's just you being you, Paimon. Don't be a worrywart and get in with us."

Gritting her teeth, Paimon then huffed before saying "Paimon gets it. If something indeed goes wrong, we'll both fry, or worse!"

The Serenitea Pot's interior is that of Inazuma's coastal lands, something that made Ayaka feel like home. However, Paimon can see that Ayaka currently has no such emotion in her face, and gets even more suspicious.

"Paimon will sleep on the cushion again, alright? Good night!"

"Good night!"

Noelle slept in a room in the ground floor while both Ayaka and Aether took the main bedroom upstairs. After a few hours of sleeping, Water gushed out from Ayaka's mouth and fell down to the floor slowly as to not make any noise. It then formed itself into a figure, and when it is done, the figure begins to fiddle with the akasha terminal that both Aether and Paimon wore. With a grin on her face, she then went back inside Ayaka.

A beeping sound is heard from the akasha. The next morning, the group went out of the Serenitea Pot and went on to the adventurers' guild to take their daily commissions. The day went on like yesterday, and they rested at the Serenitea Pot. Another beep is heard from the Akasha.

The day repeated itself over and over, and Aether would always see a glimpse of a dark watery figure in front of him before he woke up, grinning at him. The cycle went on over and over until Paimon finally realized that they were inside another Samsara, and now they had to find who the host of the dream is.

They went to Katheryne to check it out, but no luck. They couldn't find anyone in the city this time, not even Dunyarzad and Dehya. The city is devoid of life the moment they realized that they are in another samsara, but this is worse, as even Nahida couldn't help them this time.

"What is going on, Paimon?"

"You ask Paimon!? We have no clue who is the host right now!"

"Unless, could it be one of those two?"

They turned around, to see Noelle and Ayaka, still smiling at them. Their eyes glowed, and the day suddenly turned into night, a wall of water then surrounds the city, reminding Aether of that time he fought Beisht in Liyue Harbor.
