~Jessica's POV~
I was riding along the side of Hanje, followed by Levi Squad as well the new recruits. We were on our way to Shiganshina to hopefully have Eren seal the holes and take back wall maria giving us the biggest victory ever.
"If we succeed this will be the biggest Victory in history!" Hanje said while looking at me with a smile. I've noticed over the years of working beside Hanje she always seems to have a smile on her face no matter how bad the situation at hand seems to be.
"Yeah, Unless Reiner and Bertolt show up." I said calmly as I looked back at Scarlett who had a determined look on her face just like Levi.
"Hey Hanje, What do you know about Levi and Scarlett's past?" I asked her curiously, the reason I asked is because I noticed them together practically all the time, along with Levi acts differently with her compared to how he treats anyone else.
"Not really, the only thing I know is that they were together in the underground before Levi and his two other friends joined the Survey Corp, why do you ask?" Hanje asked while giving me a confused look.
"You haven't noticed the way Levi acts around her compared to how he acts around everyone else? Also, not to mention Commander Erwin is letting them stay in the same room." I said as we approached the gates to titan territory, as we approached the gate, I felt eyes on me before I turned my head to see Scarlett looking at me with a nervous smile, I could tell she was terrified, but she would never admit it and that's what I admire about her. I smiled back at her before turning back to Hanje, who was getting excited to head outside the comfort of the walls into titan territory.
"I've noticed Jess, how about we talk about it when we get back?" Hanje said with a smile before I nodded and sighed. I couldn't help but think about what their past was like before joining the survey corps. I've heard about the underground and about how nothing, but criminals live there but Levi and Scarlett aren't criminals, Right?
"FOR HUMANITY!" I heard Erwin yell as everybody commanded their horses to start running, once we all made it through the gate, the real fight begins.
