Violets POV
I wake up and turn to see Y/N not there, I get up and and walk over to where I last saw her but she's not there.
"Y/N are you here?" I call out to no one in particular, my call for her wakes Klaus and Sunny so they're both up now.
"Violet, where's Y/N?" Klaus asked looking around noticing she wasn't there in the room.
"I don't know. I woke up and she was gone." I respond with a little worry in my voice.
"Let's go down stairs and see if she's there." Klaus suggested, so I grabbed Sunny and we walked down to find Y/N on the dinning room floor crying.
Y/N POV
"Y/N! What happened!" Klaus asked rushing to my side.
"It's.....father" I sniffle
"Your arm...." Violet noticed my other arm bleeding from a cut.
"Fac pupul!" Sunny shrieks
"He cut my arm with a knife, along with another slap." I say crying and covering my cut, knowing what Sunny meant. That I had a new bruise on my face, and it was purple.
"Why did he do it? You did nothing!" Violet explained
"For when I left the house...." I trailed off
"Let's go up to the room, we'll get you fixed up." Violet says sweetly and grabs my hand to help me up, but all I do is flinch at the touch.
"Sorry." I say as I get up
"It's fine." She replies with a smile
"Is count Olaf still here?" Klaus asked when we get to our room
"No, he left with his troupe. Most of it, the hook man is still here watching the door." I tell them as Violet try's to wrap my cut, but only finds more cuts, bruises, and scars.
"Y/N did he do this to you?" She asked shocked at all the cuts and wounds I have. All I do is nod and lift my pants up to reveal more.
"The worse is this.." I sigh and show them my burn on my arm.
"What happened?" Klaus asked
"It happened 6 months ago. I didn't finish cleaning when father wanted me to be done, he threw a candle at me and my sleeve caught fire and burned my skin." I say my eyes tearing up at the memory
"That's awful!" Violet says and sits next to me
"What are we going to do?" Klaus asked
"What can we do? The hook man is here." I say standing up
"Biolet mak sumting to distact the hook man!" Sunny babbles
"She said that Violet should make something to distract the hook man." Klaus clarified
"That could work he is one of the more oblivious people." I say
"Where would we go?" Klaus asked, I had the same question pondering in my mind
"We can't go to Justice Strauss, he'll find us to easily." I say
"We could go to Mr.Poe and tell him we can't live with Count Olaf." Klaus suggested
"I guess we could try that." I say
"That closet we cleaned I could get supplies from there." Violet says
"Good do you know where it is." I ask her
"Pretty sure I'll be right back." She says and walks off to the closet
"Ok I have the stuff!" Violet says as she walks in hands full of stuff.
"What would distract him though?" Klaus asked
"Flowers." I said simply
"Flowers?" Violet asked
"Yes, he loves flowers." I say as they stare at me like I'm talking gibberish.
"Why are you starring at me like I just spoke gibberish?" I asked kind of creeped out by it.
"That's offensive!" Sunny shouts at me
"Sorry!" I say
"Well how about this?" Violet asked holding up some sort of flower pot thing.
"What is it?" I ask
"It's a flower pot, that will trap his hooks if he puts his hands in the plant the seeds." Violet explained to us holding up some seeds she must have found.
"Let's go. It's worth a shot." Klaus says
We walk down stairs and I go up to the hook man with Violets trap.
"Umm uh hook man?" I say nervously not sure what to call him
"What!" He snaps
"I uh know you like flowers and I found this with a seed packet so I was going to give it to you since I have no use for it." I say and hold out the pot
"Really?" He asked shocked
"Yep. All yours" Klaus adds
He takes the pot and we run back up stairs and wait for anything that indicated that Violets invention worked. We soon got our answer that is worked with a scream from the man. We rushed down to find the hook man in the kitchen trying to find a tool to get the pot off, while he was occupied with that we snuck out and went to Mr.Poe. The man who dropped the Baudelaire's off. While we were walking I got a lot of looks from other people, probably because of how I looked and how out of place I felt, I was also out of place if you looked at me. If you were walking by and you saw me with 2 older kids, well fed, clean, not cut or bruised, and a baby in the same condition as the older 2 you would think I'm homeless and following them like a creep, I was standing a bit behind the Baudelaire's but that's because I felt so out of place and insecure.
"Y/N you alright?" Violet asked me, which made Klaus stop walking to look back.
"I'm fine." I lie, I'm not fine. People are starring at me, I'm out of place, I don't know where father is, is he looking for me? I'm in big trouble if I'm caught, and the Baudelaire's are risking so much for me...I can't let them do this anymore.
"Wait!" I say and they turn around to look at me
"You guys are risking to much for me, you go back and stay there. I'll go to Mr.Poe and tell him, you just go back so you don't get in trouble. If father asks if you know where I am tell him I'm in the room, if he asks if you know I'm not there tell him you don't! Just stay out of trouble, I'm fine with it. I just want you to be safe." I tell the Baudelaire's
"We're not leaving Y/N" Klaus says and walks up to me
"We don't care if we get in trouble. If it helps you then we're fine. And we're not just doing it to help you we're doing it for us too." Violet tells me and she walks over with Sunny in her hands.
"Ok, if you guys are not going to leave, I just want to give you a heads up, a cut or slap won't be the worst he will do." I say sorrowfully
"Then we'll do it together." Violet and Klaus say in unison and we continue walking to the bank.
