"Hi Clara," Priscilla says while holding Jason's hand.
Clara shakes loose her frozen body and smiles brokenly. She convinces herself to act like nothing's wrong and playfully teases Jason.
"Uyyy Jasonnn. You have a girlfriend na pala! Di mo naman sinabi, how long have you guys been together?" she says with a fake laugh.
"I've been meaning to tell you but it's been a month na," Jason replies.
"Ah I see I see."
The bell rings to enter the school.
"Oop there's the bell. Congrats ha! I'll talk to you later Jason!" Clara says, completely glossing over Priscilla as she turns around and rushes away.
She smiles to keep herself from crying as she walks to her class. But it's no use, tears begin to fill her eyes. She wipes them away, laughing.
Jamie spots her best friend walking to class. She runs after her.
"Huyyy girl, did you talk to Jaso- huuyyyyyy why are you crying?"

"I mean he hasn't been talking to me lately," Clara says.
"Maybe he's just busy girlie," Jamie replies, trying to comfort Clara.
Clara calls Jamie on FaceTime. She wants to talk about Jason being aloof lately.
"Football season's over na bes. He shouldn't be too busy."
"Well he is working now. Maybe that's why?"
"Jamie, he used to text me nonstop during football season. That's way busier than having a part-time job at a boba shop."
"Maybe he's going through something?"
"I don't know bes. If he is, why doesn't he tell me. He normally does when he's going through something."
"You know girl, you're thinking about this too much. Wait wait, why are you so concerned about Jason ba, are you in love with him or something?" Jamie asks jokingly.
Clara doesn't respond and pouts.
"*GASP*.... YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH JASON!" Jamie exclaims.
"Maybe," Clara replies shyly.

"Clara!? Why are you crying?" Jamie says turning her friend towards her.
Clara shakes her head as if to say it's nothing. She laughs as tears roll down her cheeks.
"Clara namannn, what's wrong?" Jamie says anxiously, wiping Clara's tears.
Jamie pulls Clara into the girls' bathroom, which fortunately is empty.
"Now, can you tell me what's wrong?" Jamie asks.
Clara lets go of her tears. Jamie comforts her with a hug.
