Jenny's Pov
Kina had called saying she was sick. i had to see her. i knew something was up and i had a feeling that asshole of a guy Jason was the reason why. i jus hope my friend had not fallen for his stupid tricks he played on girls.
I got to her house as early as 8:00 am. Weird right? but i don't give a f**k. i saw that douchebag's car drive pass mine going towards the school, "Kina!, you home?". i went up her romm yelling her name when her mother opened the door and allowed me into their home. kina had folded herself into ball under the heavy duvets.
"sh!t, girl what in the name of hot guys happened to you. dammit woman speak to me"
"Well Jason lied to me". That guy really hurt her cause she is a strong girl. she doesn't cry very often and if she does it means it really is hurtful to her. "What the hell, what did he do? tell me". we sat there for almost an hour with her explaining what Jason did to her and me thinking of how i was going to end his life or destroy his pretty face so that he doesn't do it to more innocent girls.
"kiki you should have known better that he was a dumb and stupid player". i was more upset that my usual self would be which doesn't happen very often. "Don't make me feel like shit Jen". "I am sorry kiki but i am so kicking his ass for this". "thanks Jen you're the best". "i know girl, but get some rest, i am gonna head to school and i will see you after yeah?"
"sure Jen, have fun. love you"
"love you too. bye.". leaving her when she fell asleep, i headed for school with the thought if how to get back at Jason for messing with my best friend
KINA'S POV
I had been asleep for hours which felt like years. i needed the rest, that time alone to think for myself, to be lifeless just for some time.
"I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AT HOME, CAUSE I WAS DOING BETTER ALONE BUT WHEN YOU SAID HELLO, I KNEW THAT WAS THE END OF IT ALL. I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AT HOME NOW AM NOT LETTING YOU GO , AM I FALLING IN LOVE WITH THE ONE THAT COULD BREAK MY HEART"
I allowed my ringtone to play for a while before checking to see who it was, the one person who was disturbing my peaceful silence.
"what Jason". i said through gritted teeth. " what do you want?". i added when he was not speaking
"how are you kitten?".
"do not call me that and my well being is none of your goddamn businness"
"kina, look i know what i did was not right, i just wanted to apologise for the way i spoke to you when you came over it was not fair on your part."
"is that all Jason?"
"WHAT?" he asked surprised. why the heck was he surprised was he expecting me to fall back at his feet and lick his pores or something, i don't get it
"you heard me, is that all Jason?"
"yeah"
"okay then, leave me be please, bye Jason". i ended the call before he could even get another word in. communicating with him wasn't going to do me any good. i had to cut all ties. even if has to be to delete and block him, i would. he isn't healthy for my already fragile and torn heart. After having my dinner, i decided to go for a walk around the neighbourhood . i wore my black hoodie with my ripped ash jeans with my black flip flops and head out.
"mum am going out for a walk". i called out loud over my shoulders when i was almost outside my home to my mom who was in the kitchen cleaning up.
"ok honey, but don't take too long and be safe out there ok"
"sure thing mom"
i was out of the door when i replied to my mom. i plugged in and connected my ipods to my phone and plunged it into my ears. i scrolled through my playlist and chose the one that my dad made for my mom when they were dating. it was my favourite. i took the route that led to the park and headed that way. i sat o the kids swing and allowed the music to drown all my senses with the thought of my dad at the back of my mind. he was a kind man at least until i turned six and everything changed when he started gambling and drinking more. i lost truck of time as i was in another world for quite a long time. the rumbling of thunder followed by little droplets of rain brought me back to my senses.
i decided to head home. about halfway through the park the universe decided to release it's anger on me and that was when it decided to rain heavily with thunder and lightening with everything involved. i couldn't escape it so i decided to just walk through it at my usual speed even though i was dead scared of the thunder and lightening. on my way a black honda crossed my path and that was when i started to get really scared and frustrated. picking up my speed was the only good thing i could do.
closer and closer i got to the black honda only for the tinted windows to be rolled down and i was mt with the most beautiful hazel eyes i have ever seen
"ummmmm........ hey, need a ride? i could help you walking alone in the rain on a dark street isn't quite safe ya know?"
"yeah right how do i know that catching a ride with a guy with a tinted window car is safe"
"you really have a smart mouth there vixen. if i wanted to kidnap and kill you i wouldn't have asked would i?"
"how do i know you are not trying to play the kind card instead?"
"ok well you know what i am going to leave you to your walking since you seem to enjoy it and be on my way then. have fun"
"ok wait, thanks." with all my hesitation i didn't want to catch a cold you know so i allowed him give me a ride home
"my name is Zed by the way can you show the way to your house or do you wanna have us drive drive around?"
"ok cool it Zed my house house is just down the road, the junction to your left second house on the street and my name is Kina"
A small drive later, the car came to a stop in front of my house." ummmm thanks Zed i really appreciate you not letting me catch cold today"
"ummmm sure you welcome vixen. ummmm can i have your number or something. you are really fun to talk to and i would like us to keep in touch."
"sure Zed and my name is Kina not whatever you just said"
"but i like vixen better"
"yeah sure whatever Zed, catch you later let me know when you get home"
"byee vixen"
"bye Zed"
