Lyza rode on threw the thick forest, the stars barely glinting threw the trees. The light of the moon cast strange monstrous shadows in her path. Lyza was exhausted but she new that she could not rest. She had to get Ria out of that hellish place as soon as possible. Lyza shuttered to think of what they might b doing to Ria behind those stone walls. Read twitched in her arms.  perhaps he to was worried about ria, trapped in that squalid cesspit. Despite her efforts to keep them down, memories of her time in the center began to flood Lyza's  mind. like broken peaces of a shattered nightmare, the visions passed behind Lyza's eyes. The gaunt faces, the hopelessness in the air and the stinging pain of those devilish red sparks all played like a movie in Lyza''s mind. That was when Lyza found the first trap. With a crack of dead branches, amalia lurched and fell foreword. Lyza cautiously dismounted to see what was wrong. Amalia had stepped into a pit trap, her hoof having broken the dry branches that covered up the whole. . Looking down, Lyza saw that the bottom of the whole was covered in sharp iron spikes. This must have been a trap set to catch small animals, Thought Lyza, trying to find  a way to release Amalia's trapped hoof. Read slither-walked to Amalia's side and nudged her experimentally, trying to lift her from the pit. Amalia only whinnied in pain, unmoving. "Hmm," said Lyza to herself  'maybe if we both lift, we can get her out. Lyza grabbed onto amalia's hoof and bracing herself against a near by tree, began to he-eve with all her might. Read joind in, lifting from the side. Slowly but surely, Lyza and Read were able to lift Amalia's hoof from the pit and back onto solid ground. Amalia snuffled gratefully and the three of them continued their journy.. It was not long before Lyza saw the outskirts. Of the center it's perimeter lined with a tall barbed wire fence. Now that Lyza had reached the place, her she would now only have to get in.
