Ten still remembers how Johnny stormed out of his apartment the last time they spoke. Since they started spending more time together, Johnny seemed even more tense as the days went by. Ten had no idea why there was a huge elephant in the room every time they were together. Currently the group was on tour and their final stop was Chicago, Johnny's hometown. Because of the practices and meetings they had to see each other more often.

- Guys, we've been over this choreography many times already. I need you to focus so we can wrap it up for today.- Taeyong noticed that some of the members were not practicing as they usually did.

- Tae, I'm already exhausted. Our last concert is in two days and I can't keep pushing my body. - Yuta complained while he sat next to Johnny, who was already packing his things.

- Let's team up so we can fix any missing details in the Resonance choreo. - Taeyong started dividing the members into teams of two. - Johnny, you get Ten. He can help you with the sync, you seem off in some parts. -

Ten was sweating more than usual. It's been months since the last time he crossed more than two words with Johnny and giving him directions was not how he planned to get things back on track. Before their relationship started breaking apart, they had a great chemistry during their practices. Ten would help Johnny with the delicacy of his moves and Johnny would get him more in touch with his masculine side.

- TY is this really necessary? It's past 9:00pm and I promised my parents I would go have dinner with them. - Johnny hated being in the spotlight so he was trying to run off and avoid talking to Ten.

- It's okay Taeyong, I have to leave anyway. Xiaojun wanted us to see a movie in his room since it's our only break before we leave. - Ten was not the one to force things and even less when it came to dancing. His body held his entire career so he prefered to make up an excuse and take off.

- I don't remember giving out options. You know what? The two of you are staying until you get the sync seamlessly. The rest of you can leave. Sleep well, tomorrow is another day. - Taeyong dismissed the rest of the members while we packed his things and left for his hotel room.

Johnny and Ten were left alone in the studio. Ten was getting that weird sensation in his stomach like all the times he had to share a space with Johnny. If he was honest with himself, he couldn't put a name to that sensation. Anxiety? Worry? Butterflies? It can't be, Johnny and him were like brothers. He still remembered all the times they cried together whenever he had to leave for Thailand to visit his family. Johnny was his soulmate and now they can't even look at each other.

- Okay Chittaphon, where should we start? I'm in a hurry and I just want to go home. - Ten's heart skipped a beat. Johnny was one of the few people that called him by his name and he liked it.

- Actually I think you are doing great. Tae was being a little hard today on all of us. I think he wants to give a good show since your parents will be there. You know he loves them. - Ten was smiling during the conversation, he really missed his friend. - Let's just do some mirroring so I can take a look at your moves.

Johnny seemed relaxed now that Ten showed himself a little more talkative. They practiced the choreography a couple of times. Ten caught Johnny looking at him through the mirrors and that weird feeling in his stomach came back. After one hour of practicing and laughing it out, the two members left the studio. Ten completely forgot he had never been to Chicago and he didn't remember his way to the hotel.

- Hey Ten, if you need a ride to the hotel I can drop you off. My parents' house is near so I don't mind. - Johnny offered Ten while he walked to his black Porsche.

- Oh no, that's fine. I can just call a cab or something. I'll be okay. Go home to your parents, I'm sure they're desperate to see you. - Ten was so afraid to be by himself in a huge city but he didn't want to be quiet during the ride with Johnny.

- Ten, you have no idea how to move around here. Just hop in my car, I'll take you there. -

Ten decided to take the ride, after all he could use some time with Johnny to hopefully clear the air a little. During the ride he looked at the man next to him; he had almost forgotten the beautiful profile Johnny had. They always made jokes with each other about being the best visuals of the group and how they always had the best concept pictures. Ten remembered how he used to caress Johnny's face whenever they were sitting down together enjoying their company. Why did things change all of a sudden?

- You're staring. I can feel your eyes in my face. What is it? Don't tell me my skin is breaking out because of the sweat! - Johnny started being careful with his skin since Ten got him into skincare and fancy routines to take care of his appearance.

- No dummy, I'm just looking at you. I feel like I don't remember your face. It's been so long since we were this close. - Ten felt his hands getting sweaty.

- Well, you know our agendas are swamped lately so I can hardly see any of the members anymore. -

- We always made time for each other. You even stayed in my apartment during our breaks, now I don't even know where you are. -

Ten knew he was touching some delicate fibers of their friendship but he just needed to know why things were different between them.

- Ten things just... change. I didn't think it was such a big deal to you. - Johnny sounded irritated and Ten could tell that he was uncomfortable with the conversation.

- To me? Johnny, you were my best friend, remember? We've spent so much time together. I miss you, can we please just try to make things better? - Ten felt the tears coming up and he decided to keep the rest to himself.

- I'm sorry Ten, I can't give you what you want. I just... I just can't anymore. - Johnny felt his heart aching after he told his friend that lie. What Johnny wanted the most was for things to go back to how they were. He couldn't allow all those feelings to come back and keep them to himself. - Hey, we're here. Make sure to call Xiaojun so he knows you're here.-

Ten felt devastated once again. He felt like Johnny was keeping too many things to himself and wasn't being completely honest about what he felt.

- Yeah, I will. Thanks for the ride though, see you around. - And without letting Johnny say goodbye, Ten hopped out of the car and disappeared inside the hotel.

- I can't let myself fall for you once again, I can't destroy our friendship like that. - Johnny said to himself before driving off into the highway.
