3RD PERSON POV:

It was one in the morning on a cold, October day. Ray couldn't sleep so he decided to go for a walk in the old cemetery. He slipped on his black jacket and walked out the door.

The cold air was piercing his skin as he walked through the cemetery, around gravestones and trees as the orange brown leaves crunched under his feet.

As Ray walked further he saw a shadowy figure swiftly move behind a tall, oak tree.

He slowly approached the tree, "Hello? Is someone there?"

The leaves rustled as a figure came into view.

"What are you doing here?" They said, voice trembling.

"I was just out for a walk, but are you okay?"

"Yeah of course," They slowly walked forward more, revealing their pale skin and *insert colour* hair.

"Woah." Ray could tell they weren't human, "are y-you?"

"A vampire? Yes."

"I-"

"I understand if you're scared of me."

"N-no, I'm not. I just didn't know vampires were actually real, like that's really cool."

"I'm Y/N by the way." He reached out his hand.

"Ray." He said, shaking Y/N's frigid hand.

*1 Month Later*

It had been about a month since Ray met Y/N in the cemetery, and every other night he was going out past midnight to see him.

"Y/N?" Ray called out, looking for his vampire friend.

"Hi Ray." Y/N said smiling as he hung by his legs from a tree branch.

"I missed you."

"It's been one night Y/N."

"I know, but I don't get to see you during the day."

"Yeah," Ray said, looking down.

"Hey, what's up?" Y/N asked as he fell down from the tree, landing on his back.

"I think I'm in love with you, you're way too nice and funny and you're just so pretty. I really want to be with you."

Ray could sense Y/N go cold, "You don't like me back do you?"

"I- I-" Y/N stuttered and instead of thinking of something to say, they decided to ruin things by running away into the forest.

That left Ray standing there in the middle of a cemetery at 2:57 in the morning contemplating what just happened. He didn't want to let this affect him, but he couldn't help letting a few tears fall.

As Y/N ran into the forest, they tried to process what they had just done. They loved Ray, but he knew they couldn't be together. He only ran because he didn't want to hurt Ray, even though running probably hurt him even more.

*1 Week Later*

One week had passed since Ray confessed his feelings for Y/N. Y/N wanted to tell Ray how he felt, but since that night Ray hadn't come back to the cemetery. Everything was ruined, Y/N had lost the only person that didn't care about them being a vampire, Ray loved them for them.

As Y/N sat atop a gravestone, he heard a branch crack in the distance. They quickly jumped up and went behind a tree. They breathed heavily before jumping when they felt on hand on their shoulder.

"Hey, it's just me." A soft, familiar voice said.

Y/N turned around with tears in his eyes, they missed Ray.

He hugged Ray without saying anything, "It's okay Y/N."

They pulled apart and he looked up at Ray, "I'm so sorry for leaving like that. I didn't know how to react."

"It's oka-"

"No. I really shouldn't have left. I really like you Ray but I don't want to hurt you. I'm a vampire, we wouldn't be able to work."

"Then turn me."

"W-what? Ray I can't do that."

"But Y/N, then we don't have to worry about being apart. We'll both be vampires."

"A-are you sure?"

"Mhm." Ray nodded as Y/N stepped closer.

They kissed Ray before sinking their fangs into his neck. Ray winced at the contact as he felt the venom injected into his body. Y/N stepped back from Ray, small amounts of blood trickled down their chin.

"I love you."

"I love you too Y/N." Ray smiled, wiping the blood of their chin.
