What the fucking hell!
My jaw dropped and i just kept blinking profusely. Did I hear him correctly?
His stuff? Take care of my self?. . BABY GIRL?
Does he seriously think that i am one of his secret chicks in this company. What if he is the damn CEO? Does that mean he own everyone in this company?
I scoofed several times before giving up and heading to the door he entered earlier.
All the waiting eyes turned at me as i entered and closed the door. My eyes first flicked to where he is and i found him sitting at the front seat, talking to one of his accomplices.
The hit that suddenly met my shoulder jerked me backward with pain. I groan to see my angry boss fuming red after he hit me. I furrowed my eyebrows in pain with my mouth agape.
" What the hell boss!" I said almost aloud. Some even looked at me and eyed me in disgust for keeping them waiting.
" What the hell? " He repeated like he is always surprised with my choice of words
" Are you out of your freaking mind Mia? What about the proposal? You even look so worst than my breakfast this morning!"
He eyed my dress with disgust checking me from all angle.
" Calm down Logan. Am not dying anytime soon" i said jokingly and he just stare at me like am crazy.
My eyes searched the area, ignoring the stares i was getting till it landed on Olivia, my
partner.
She also saw me and i quickly wave at her to come over.
I gave her a smile when she did not expect it. I quickly dumped the piles of files on her hand. She was dumbfounded and just blink profusely.
" Now is not the time to do this! You need to get up there or we are done for!" She snapped
" You can do that for me. I look terrible!" I whined for many reasons. First, i was not fully prepared. Second, i do not want to face Mr Christopher again and third, my dress is not helping the situation.
Logan ran his hand through his hair frustrated. He looked at the both of us waiting for us to do something
" One of you should better get up there or you both will be fired today!!" He threatened.
I grab his coat without thinking and tear it away from his body. He stared at me like i have grown horns on my head.
"W-what. . What the hell! Hey! MIA!"
I didn't wait to respond. I wore his coat quickly and took the necessary items before heading toward the stage.
They were just staring at me, wondering what the hell i am doing. I also have no idea what i was seriously doing.
I sighed heavily and climbed it carefully approaching the big stand that stood close to the stairs.
Whether i like it or not, i am doing this. I don't care how it goes.
It surprised me to see the CEO surprised when he saw me climb the podium. I now realize that that is the first time I am officially presenting so he must have not expected me to be standing there.
I cleared my nerves and I placed my items down before glancing at the crowd. The hall have quietened before I know it and all eyes were focused on me.
Speaking of the truth, this is my first time presenting the upcoming project of the planning team. I have always write it but i have never once present.
I always have stage fright since I was little and the fact that this sexy CEO of mine is in front of me is not helping the situation at all.
My eyes passed his once and he stared back at me. I cleared my throat and leaned forward to the microphone.
It's not my fault that i am sort of short.
I made sure to avoid his eyes all while as i moved through the introduction and assets on the project.
As i talked, i could feel his wide eyes on me. It made me as nervous as hell because that was the first time I actually get to talk to him about something not official and it ended up being something sassy.
As i clear the remaining plan work concerning the project, at the back of the seats, i sighted Olivia and Logan staring at me. They both gave me thumb up and i smiled before wrapping it up.
The VIPs examine my words and many questions flew at me. I managed to escape them successfully. They nodded in understanding and they concluded for us to take control and the executing team should carry out the rest of the launching as well as the advertising team.
They all exchanged pleasantries and they dispersed to their various location. I sighed heavily and placed my head on the stand, taking some moment for my self.
A hand tapped my back and i shot up. Logan and Olivia grin at me like they won a damn lottery. I let out a laugh
" What now? Would you pls with pleasure fire us now?" I said tauntingly at logan.
We all bursted into fit of laughter. I started packing up my items.
" Well i gladly take my word back. I just can't do without you too. Even We are having team dinner tonight."
" Yes!" I and Olivia grin happily.
We headed toward the door chatting jokingly when a voice that i didn't prepare to hear anytime soon called my name.
" Mia."
I stopped dead on my tracks and turned.
The CEO.
