Adelaide held onto Adira's reigns, adjusting her armor. She held her bow in her right hand, ready in case.
"They've come, your majesties. In numbers and weapons far greater than our own."
"Numbers do not win a battle." Oreius said, turning to the two.
"No. But I bet they help." Peter said.
"She wasn't expecting us to be ready." Adelaide said, "We have a chance." As she said that, they saw the Witch's army, which was much bigger than anticipated.
Adelaide took a deep breath, turning to Peter. He looked determined, but scared. Then they both turned back to Edmund simultaneously.
He nodded at them, and Peter drew his sword, Adelaide held up her bow.
Their people cheered, and the horn blew. They were ready for this. Then the Witch's army came for them.
