"Okay, so... what do we do first?" Adelaide inquired.
"Well, if it's okay with Tink and Queen Clarion here; I'm going to take you to the Winter Woods to begin your training as a Frost Fairy"
"I think it's a wonderful idea" came a voice from behind Adelaide. Adelaide nearly jumped out of her skin upon turning around, only to be face to face with the lovely Queen Clarian. "Ooo, sorry to frighten you deary, but I couldn't help but overhear..." The woman's soft voice instantly let itself be known to be that of Queen Clarions. "I think it's a wonderful idea to start with, given this unusual weather... Adelaide will thrive there I'm sure"
......................
Peri, now with the queen's encouragement under her wings, pushed and held the door open for Adelaide as the two exited the Depo. As the two trudged through the snow, puffs of smoke indicating their breath; Adelaide hugged her arm, trying to shield herself from the bitter chill.
"You cold?" Peri asked randomly, yet did not stop walking.
"A- a l- l-i-t-t-l-e, Y- Y-o-u a-r-e-n-'-t?" Adelaide found herself, teeth chattering as she struggled to get the words out.
The frost fairy only shrugged in response. "The cold really doesn't bother me all that much, growing up in The Winter Woods and all"
"Oh-" It took Adelaide a while to process where they were going after that, considering she had no prior knowledge of that strange place; it was completely foreign to her.
Her thoughts were all jumbled up now thinking about that strange and foreign place; she knew not of how much time had passed... suddenly, she could hear a faint snapping sound. As her eyes focus on what and who could possibly be making that strange sound; she found that to her great shock that it was Periwinkle, Tinkerbell's sister.
"Hey, Adelaide..." she had been standing over the young, and very small Adelaide, snapping her finger in front of Adelaide's face for the past hour, give-or-take five minutes. It was only then that Adelaide realized she was lying on her back in the soft snow.
"Adelaide, Adelaide; you with me?" Peri asked.
"Y- Yes, Peri- I'm here" Adelaide replied, casually picking herself up off the cold snow-covered ground, dusted herself off, and asked, "Peri, are we in the Winter Woods?"
"What?- Now? No, I just figured that you'd like to change"
"Change- What do you-?" she started to ask, but then she suddenly had the strangest urge to turn her head, Upon doing so she soon realized they were standing right in the entryway path to her house.
"Okay...?" she replied suspiciously. "Wait here" she ordered. "I'll be out in a bit" Adelaide slipped through the front door, walking to her closet. Though she only found multi-colored leaves inside, sighing she quickly looked for anything that she could use to make an outfit with; as she began scanning the room with her eyes. She noticed something laid out before her on the nearby bedside table. "Scissors" she exclaimed, a smile formed on her face as she quickly grabbed them. Cutting and sewing away at the most reddest leaves in the pile she slowly began to craft a beautifully warm red dress with matching ear muffs and boots.
"Ready" she halliard upon opening the front door.
"Okay super!" Peri exclaimed before walking off in the direction of the Winter Woods. The small fairy ram to catch up. "Wow Adelaide, you look super cute... err, you sure you haven't tried Tinkering yet?" Adelaide blinked shocked.
"N-No..." Adelaide was taken aback.
"Oh, well- you look good" The frost fairy smiled.
"Th-thank y-you" Adelaide smiled back as she felt her cheeks become red hot with embarrassment, blushing with a burning intensity that she couldn't control.
"Hey, think nothing or it" was all she heard the frost fairy say, before she, too went silent; continuing their long and perilous journey towards The Winter Woods.
