Finally, the queen found Adelaide sitting silently within the tall grass, her knees pulled up to her chest; tear-streaked lines were clearly visible from where it looked like she'd been crying.
"Why sweetie, why on earth are you crying?" the small 1-inch fairy raised her head then replied,
"I'm- I'm so- s- sorry, I just... got..." she tried to say between sobs but sadly couldn't finish before bursting into tears once more.
"It's okay..." the queen looked at the young one understandly and equally heart-broken. "You just got a little overwhelmed is all" she cooed. "It happens, especially with all those decisions..." she paused.
"It- it does?" Adelaide sniffed, looking up at her, her eyes now tear-free sparkle and twinkling with wonder.
"Mmm-hmm" she nodded.
"Oh okay, so what do I do?"
"Why don't you come back with me, I'll assist you" she smiled.
"Okay" Adelaide beamed a smile so bright, it shown on her face from ear to ear: she jumped up, eagerly following the queen back to the Pixie Dust Tree where the 'choosing Ceremony' was waiting.
