End of September

A song plays.

End of September.

Spirits dancing in the moonlight.

The brisk makes way for the ice.

But, not tonight.

Tonight,

the darkness curtsies to the fire.

Tonight,

smiles wide with fantasy.

Tonight,

another life becomes the only.

Leaves fallen break beneath our Earthly hooves.

Jack O'Lantern smoke fills our lungs

as we prance around the quiet

evening streets.

Evil has a way of feeling less so

in the light of that all Hallow moon.
