"All right!" announced Ashido excitedly, "Who wants to go first?"

The students waited anxiously for someone to start up the first story. After a few seconds of silence, Uraraka spoke up, "I think I got an interesting story, a pretty cautionary tale too." Ashido handed over the flashlight, "All right sister, you have the floor!" Uraraka held the light to her face and began her spooky tale.

***

Legends have been told of a strange creature lurking around a rather peaceful town. Those who had seen a glimpse of this mysterious phenomenon have described the figure as taking on the form of a clown girl with a round face and pink circles on her cheeks in a pink colorful outfit. This creature has no official name, but it seems that on every foggy night it is out, children go missing, but are never found. People simply refer to this apparition as "That". One kid was out with his brother the night he went missing. They were both outside playing for too long and had gotten lost. It was a foggy night, making it hard for any of them to see where they were going. They had gotten so scared they started crying, and were approached by "That". One of the kids recalled seeing his brother approaching this figure and talking to it. Before he knew it, his brother was gone. The last he saw of him was "That" hugging his brother, who then seemed to float away, never to be seen again. Thankfully, the other kid made it home safe and sound.

He tried telling everyone about it but no one believed him. At school, nobody heeded his warning. One kid, named Kota, loved to make fun of him for his little story, "You're full of snot!" he said, "There's no way something like that can ever happen." Now Kota was known as being kind of a trouble maker, always breaking the rules and never learning his lesson.

One day, Kota went right up to the kid, "Hey goofus" he said, "It's foggy tonight, better look out for your brother!" The kid grew very mad, "Stop bullying me!" he said angrily, "You don't know what it's like losing someone so close to you! My parents and I miss my brother every day and night!" Kota scoffed, "If you miss your brother so much, why do you keep telling everyone that 'scaaaary' story about him?" The kid grew madder, "You weren't there!" he called out. "Oh yeah?" Kota answered, "Well how about tonight, I try catching this 'spooky ghost girl' you won't stop crying about on video just to show everyone how much of a big fat liar you are?" "Don't do it!" the boy warned. Kota proudly crossed his arms, "I will! See you tomorrow!"

That night Kota snuck out of the house on his own. His parents always told him to never go out after dark, but Kota never listened. He had his video camera ready and ventured out into the fog. Despite trying to be all tough, he grew more and more scared as got more and more lost. Eventually, he started crying. He wanted his parents so badly right now. He wanted to go home!

Just then, he heard a voice, "What's the matter?". It sounded like a sweet young lady, maybe in her late teens. The boy sniffled, "I'm lost. I want my mommy and daddy!" The girl shushed him to calm him down, "It's ok, I can help you find your way home." The boy stopped crying, "You can?" he sniffled, rubbing his tears away. The girl responded, "Of course, come here". The boy approached the woman, who looked just like a clown, with a round face and pink cheeks, along with a few other clown features, like a big blue nose. She honked it to make the boy laugh.

After he finished laughing, he started looking nervous again. The clown tilted her head curiously and asked, "Are you still scared?" The boy nodded. The clown girl kneeled down and extended her arms out, "Wanna hug?" she asked with a warm smile. The boy, still not thinking this was real, walked right up to her. He had forgotten his camera, which he dropped when he walked over to the clown girl.

As the boy hugged the clown girl, she wrapped her arms tightly around him, "There, there", she whispered, "Now to take you to your home, your new home." Just then, the boy felt strange, he was getting lighter and lighter. He was floating away! As the clown girl waved goodbye to him, he tried to scream for help, but no one answered. And he was never found again. Some say he vanished into the fog, others say he flew off into the heavens, but the boy from school knew exactly what happened.

"The end." said Uraraka, solemnly finishing her story. Ashido was the first to speak up, "That was kinda sad." she said. Midoriya added on, "Yeah, but there is a good moral I guess, nice story." Bakugo found it pretty dumb, "Eh, stupid kid had it coming." Kirishima found Bakugo's reaction rather amusing, "Gee, doesn't that little boy remind you of anybody?" Once he caught onto this, Bakugo flared back up, "Not funny rock boy!" he barked fiercely.

Editor's Note: And there's the first story and yes, it is a spoof of It, with Uraraka as the killer clown and Kota taking on the role of a misbehaving child. This one was the first story I had a beginning, middle, and end for and thought it was a fun idea, so I went with this as the first story, as it would also help set the mood for what to expect. Uraraka's floating quirk and the "You'll float too" quote everybody associates with Pennywise went hand in hand, so this felt like the perfect story for her.
