While the class was trying to decide who should go next, Kaminari spoke up, "You know hasn't gone yet? Tokoyami!" The dark bird boy was flattered, "Me? You think I would tell a good scary story?" Kaminari excitedly smacked him on the back, "Yeah! Your obsession with dark stuff and your shadowy quirk make you practically born to tell ghost stories, I think you should totally go next." Ashido agreed and cheered him on, "Yeah, go Tokoyami!" After taking a second to think to himself, Tokoyami stepped forward, "Ok, if it's a scary story you want, it's a scary story you got."

Long ago, there lived a young librarian named Fumikage. He was rather lonely since he was a really quiet individual and very studious. Despite many people coming in and out of the library, he barely talked to anyone and had little to no friends.

One day, he found a lone baby raven on his porch. He took the little birdie in and dubbed him Indigo, named after the ink some of his most favorite literary classics were written with. Every day he would always look forwards to coming home to his dark, rustic house with Indigo sitting in his little cage. Some days he would even bring Indigo to the library, and he certainly made work a lot less lonely for him and the people visiting loved Indigo too.

As the years went by, Indigo grew bigger and bigger, like any other bird, until finally reaching adulthood. However, Indigo would eventually reach a rather old age, since birds like him age much faster than humans. But now matter how old he was, he would always be Fumikage's little bird.

That was until one cold winter night. A harsh blizzard was sweeping through the village. Indigo was shivering painfully, and Fumikage tried his absolute best to keep his little bird warm. Unfortunately, it was all in vain, as Indigo had gotten sick, very sick. Despite doing everything he could to cure him, Fumikage could not heal his bird, with it dying from its condition. Fumikage could not live without his little bird friend. His loss left a big hole in his heart, one that haunted him ever since.

As time went on, Fumikage wondered what to do with life as he just could not move on from the closest connection he had ever made in his life, so he contacted a local sorceress for advice.  He explained how much he missed his bird friend and that life had no meaning for him ever since. Fumikage told her he would do anything to be with Indigo once again. After hearing this, the sorceress started chanting some obscure and cryptic incantations before finally telling him, "One day, you and your bird friend shall become closer than ever before." Not knowing what she meant, Fumikage bid her farewell and carried on.

That night, another blizzard rushed through the village, with Fumikage trapped in his house. He looked over at where Indigo's cage once stood and was woefully reminded of that fateful night. He longed to hold his bird once again.

On the wall, he swore he could have seen a shadow, a strange shadow, a strangely familiar shadow. One that resembled a small bird, almost like Indigo. But then it vanished! Fumikage was startled, it was almost like his bird was coming back to haunt him.

He sat down at his desk and continued writing his memoirs. Something seemed to move right beneath him and up the wall he was facing, resembling a bird flying. Fumikage started feeling like something was up and feared for his life.

He sat down in his study by the fire, with its warm flame heating the room and providing a source of light. As he decided to settle in with a book, the feeling arose again, the sense that something, or someone, was there. He could hear a strange voice whispering "Indigo....Indigo...." He looked up, and checked the fireplace. There, rising from the flame, was a large shadowy pair of wings, practically engulfing the walls of the study.

Fumikage started to panic as the shadow formed into a large raven. As it approached him, a strange wind swirled through the room, as he could hear the sorceress' voice reminding him, "One day, you and your bird friend shall become closer than ever before." He could feel his body being lifted off the ground and his head being tilted back towards the ceiling. The bird shadow seemed to enter is mouth through the face and he could feel himself changing. His head started to shift into that of a bird. Black, wispy wings emerged from his back and his cloak turned black and shadowy. When he landed on the ground, he was no longer the same person. Yet, at the same time, he could now feel that Indigo was a part of him again.

Indigo's spirit had fused with his own, changing him into a strange shadow-like bird man. He was no longer Fumikage, he was now The Shadow Bird. Without thinking, he flew out of his house and disappeared into the night and was never seen again. Those who knew him say that on the night of a full moon, you can see shadowy wings forming across the moonlight, meaning that The Shadow Bird is out for a midnight flight, now reunited with Indigo for all eternity.

When on those flights, Fumikage can see Indigo's spirit emerge from his body, flying alongside him. The two were now inseparable, now living on as two in one, side by side forever.

The room went silent. "That was a pretty sad story." said Ashido. "Yeah....but at least the librarian and his bird are now together forever." added Hagakure, "Nice story there Tokoyami" The bird boy bowed, "Thank you, that was my finest hour."

Bakugo was not quite as impressed, "Where do you people come up with this stuff?" he muttered.

Editor's Note: I knew from the get go that if there was one Class 1A student born for this, it's Tokoyami so of course I had to give him a story. Sorry this one is a bit short, I had a tricky time thinking of how it would go down. See you again later! Plus Ultra!
