Half n' Half Blooded

Once the heat settled, Todoroki raised his hand, "Is it ok if I go next?" Ashido beamed back up, "Alright Todoroki!" she cheered, "You go right ahead!" but before anybody could hand him the flashlight, Shoto held his hand out in front of him, "No need to do that, I got something even better." and he held a ball of flame in his hand to set the mood. "Show off" groaned Bakugo before being shushed by Kirishima.

Shoto Todoroki was a teenage boy at Shibuya High. Although he seemed like your normal, every day student, his heritage was anything but. You see, he was a half vampire; his father, Endeaver was a vampire while his mother, Rei, was just an ordinary human being. 

Little did anyone know, Endever was a descendant from a long line of vampire kings. Together, they ruled the Underworld and one day, planned to overthrow humanity. Endeavor was the most powerful member of the family, partially in thanks to a deal he struck with Sanguis, the god of the Undead. If he could help the vampires overtake the humans, he would have the position to rule over all of the Earth. If he didn't he would be cursed for all eternity.

To help achieve his goal of domination, he planned to marry somebody and for her to birth a child to join him in the order of lineage. He and Rei met one foggy night in a cemetery, as she was mourning the loss of her husband and son, who had been killed in a deadly fire. They married soon after and expected the birth of their one son, Shoto Todoroki.

Shoto grew up somewhat connected to his parents, always spending time with them. Todoroki always knew he was a vampire, as his father revealed to him when he was really little, but was told to keep it a secret. As a result, Shoto also grew up somewhat sheltered, and did not have many friends. Until he was around 15, when his parents started letting him attend high school.

On his first day, he had a hard time fitting in, and had trouble making friends. That was except for a young lady with raven black hair named Momo, whom he shared language arts with. They were both fascinated by dark poetry and alchemy and for the first time in his life, Todoroki had found a true friend.

October was soon approaching, and that month was set to have a Friday the 13th, which was also Todoroki's birthday. Endever made a deal with Sanguis that this was set to be the day he and Shoto were to start their reign over humanity.

In the meantime, Shoto was walking through the hallways one day until a boy with blonde spikes hair and a sour temper around his age started picking on him again. "Face it, despite being so called 'friends' with Momo, you will NEVER belong you creep!" Shoto did not know what to think. As his mouth gaped open, the bully could see little fangs in his mouth. Since he was only a half vampire, his fangs are not as prominent as his father's, but were still visible. The bully was amused and laughed, "I was right, you are a freak! Look at those teeth!"

Before he could do anything to the helpless half-vampire, Momo stomped right up, "That's enough!" she yelled. The bully did not let up, "Oh, you're the little alchemy girl. You finally found somebody just as crazy as you are!" Momo stood her ground, "Stand back, or else!" But the rude boy scoffed, "What are you gonna do, make it rain frogs?" 

Momo silently pulled out a large book and flipped through the pages until exclaiming "Aha!" as she pointed her finger to one paragraph. She started reading very cryptic words out loud that no-one else understood. Eventually, this freaked out the bully so much he ran away. Todoroki was speechless, "Thank you, you saved me." Momo chuckled, "Don't worry, those weren't real spells, just ingredients." Aside from his mother, this was one of the few times a human had done anything nice for him. "I have never seen another human do something like that before" he thought to himself, "Maybe I need to do the same."
