Mistaken Identity: A Hetalia Story

Chapter 3

Name) woke up the next morning in her new cabin on Arthur's ship. She left the cabin and went outside to the deck. It must have been early in the morning; she didn't see anyone else out here. After looking around a bit, she noticed she wasn't alone; Arthur was standing on the deck looking out to the sea looking troubled.

"Arthur? Are you alright?" she asked walking over to him.

Arthur jerked up, as if he was pulled out of a daydream. Oh, (Name) it's you. What are you doing up so early?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing. You look kinda distracted. Is something wrong?"

Arthur sighed and looked away. "I'll take that as a yes. What's the matter?" Arthur remained silent and kept his gaze out towards the sea. "You can tell me."

Arthur turned his head slightly to look at (Name). "Well.. I was hoping to find him here."

"Him who?"

"My younger brother Peter."

(Name) grew concerned seeing him sad like this. "Was he taken away too?"

Arthur nodded slightly. "My greatest fear is that he could've been sold already." (Name) saw Arthur clenching his fists tightly and took hold of one of them, hoping to calm him down.

"Don't believe that Arthur. I'm sure he's out there somewhere waiting for you."

"I hope so.." Arthur turned his head to better look at (Name). "Besides, I'm not the only one with that fear. Almost everyone on board this ship has someone they're looking for too."

"Like who?"

"Well Alfred and France were looking for Matthew and found him, Wang Yao is looking for his brother Honda , Ivan is looking for his sisters Yekaterina and Natalia, and his three servants. They were all taken away to be sold too."

(Name) stared in shock. "That's horrible…" Arthur nodded in agreement.

"All of them were taken by the same group of pirates who are scattered all around the world. They call themselves the 'Treasure Hunters', only the treasure are the innocent people they capture and attempt to sell on the black market."

That made (Name)'s heart clench. Thank goodness they took her instead of Mindy.. "They should be all be arrested for life for what they're doing! Isn't anyone besides you and your crew trying to stop them?"

Arthur nodded. "Several others, but apparently not enough. The Treasure Hunters defeat their enemies and take whoever they please as their prisoners. Especially if they'll bring in a lot of money."

Now (Name) was clenching her fists. These "Treasure Hunters" was a sick and cruel bunch. "Something has to be done. Someone has to beat them."

"I know, were' trying our best. But so far we've only won two battles, one to save Alfred and this one to save Matthew, Lily and Vash."

"Alfred was a prisoner too?"

"Yes. They held him captive for a year before we found him, we lost that battle and they took Matthew and went away again. We found him again, but they went away with Matthew and took Vash and Lily as well. They still have Peter, he's been in their grasp for two and a half years."

(Name) looked down. "Everyone here has had a bad history with these people." She looked up to Arthur. "If there's anything I can do to help, I'll do it."

Arthur shook his head. "You've been through your share with them, you should stay out of trouble before you get captured again."

(Name) looked him dead in the eyes. "They only reason I was captured is because they thought I was a princess and I would sell for a high price." She shivered slightly remembering what the captain said, hoping Arthur didn't see it. "And if they find out I'm not who they're after, then what? Mindy is my best friend and I don't want her to get captured. That's why I need to find my way home as soon as possible." She remained silent for a moment. "Although I know that won't be possible for a while, considering everyone else has their situations."

"Yes, and because of that, we'll need to make several stops along the way."

"I'm okay with that, as long as the prisoners are set free."

"So you'll continue traveling with us?" (Name) nodded and smiled softly at him.

"Don't worry. I'm sure we'll find your brother, and everyone else too."

After looking into her deep (e/c), Arthur smiled back at her and nodded. (Name) gave his hand one last reassuring squeeze and went back to her cabin to get some more rest and stopped before she entered. "Oh, and Arthur."

Arthur turned to her. "Yes?"

She smiled again. "Thank you for saving me."

Arthur smiled back again. "No problem." And with that, (Name) went back into the cabin and shut the door behind her.
