Hi! Sorry this is late, I had to cross reference Netflix A LOT, so it took time. Heather makes her entrance in this chapter, but I made her kind of different. You'll see.
Warning: lots of violence in this chapter.
*Updated the story to mature.*

The lashes had been brutal and no doubt excruciating, but the Addie was still disappointed when the Fry passed out. That was one body he had to carry, but the Smolt–the irritable and stubborn Silvia–was still conscious, so perhaps he could force her to carry the Fry.
But the young man had awakened, eyes unfocused with pain but still awake; the Dragon God had made an impressed hum at that, so the Addie hauled them to their feet and shoved them off.
The two stumbled off the boat, shaking vigorously, stumbling in and out of consciousness. Krogan, despite his efforts, blacked out several times before the Addie decided to drag him.
The pale light startled them. Silvia squinted before realizing they were off the boat, and gods was it cold. An attempt to put on their tunics had failed, so they wore nothing but their torn, bloody undershirts, leaving the raw stripes on their backs exposed. She looked for her charge and found him passed out, and judging from the state of his body, he seemed to have gotten the worst of the beatings. Limp strips of skin hung from his back, and his breathing was wrecked.
The Addie grunted, taking hold of Krogan's arm and dragging him across the planks. "Let's go."
"No," Silvia said weakly, taking Krogan's leg and stopping him. Dragging the man was a bad idea–it would only infect and aggravate his wounds even further.
She winced, preparing for a slap. When it did not come, she forged on. "I'll carry him."
The Addie stared at her, then shrugged with a sneer. "How noble." He threw Krogan's arm to the ground. "Fine. At least I don't have to carry him."
She glared at him with pure hatred, then lowered her head, attempting to pick Krogan up.
Her own back screamed in agony as she bent down, but she forged on; she had to get Krogan out of here.
"Hurry up," the Addie snapped impatiently, "or I'll finish what the Dragon God started."
Fear coursed through her veins, her mind screaming no! no! at the thought of another beating. "I'm sorry," Silvia whimpered, tears pricking her eyes. She was emotionally spent and couldn't control anything anymore. Incoherent words started falling from her mouth, and she grabbed Krogan's arm, her head swimming. Keep it together keep it together–
Krogan's voice came to her delusional head. He winked, smiling wide and hollered, "Goin' down!"
Silvia fell to the ground like a sack of rocks.

The door was thrown open.
Reed scrambled to his feet, eyes wide as he recognized the face of A. Silten. "Sir," he greeted, posture ramrod.
The Addie nodded, finding the Smolt's display of respect sufficient. He turned his head over his shoulder, looking at something outside the honeycomb room.
Reed shuffled anxiously, wondering where Silvia and Reed were. What happened to them? he worried, feeling sick. I have to ask!
What? No! the other part of his mind admonished, horrified. The Addie didn't call on you to speak! You can't ask him that!
