I woke up in my crib/toddler bed makeshift and stretched letting out yawn.
The diaper I was wearing was slightly soggy and it's when Michael walked inside.
" Rise and Shine Kiddo ! " Michael said.
" Good Morning Sir ! " I said.
" Morning , we got a long day ahead Charlie , let's get you changed "
Michael said picking me up.
Michael changed me out of diaper and put me in a pull up.
After I was changed we headed downstairs , I was quickly hit with smell of fresh pancakes.
" Smells good Marissa " Michael said strapping me in my booster seat.
" I didn't knew you could cook "
I said.
" What does that even mean Charlie ?
Offcourse I can cook " Marissa said flipping the pancakes with spatula.
" Never knew cooking was one of hijr skills " Michael said chuckling.
" Haha very funny , now come on let's start eating " Marissa said serving us panckes with some OJ.
" So what's today's plan ? " I asked.
" Ok before any of you jump to any conclusion , here me out , we are having a board meeting in New York , top officers who work along with us
In Pentagon have held this meeting , they want update Matteo's whereabouts " Michael said.
" Is that a big deal ? " Marissa asked.
" They might bring up the subject about Charlie - " Michael said.
" - Wait but didn't you cover up for me " I asked.
" I have gave a report that you were severely injured during the confrontation with Matteo when he attached Pentagon but it's been more than weeks since your disappearce ,
Charlie you are Deputy Secretary of DOD one of the highest ranking Government officer , questions are going to know about your health conditions " Michael said.
" We can deal with it when it happens " Marissa asked.
" - But there's something else that is raising concern , I got information from my sources that there might be a mole in our department " Michael said.
" Wait mole ? As in someone....."
I said.
" I am sure it's someone in the department and I have a gut feeling the person would show up at the meeting " Michael said.
" - But how is it possible !? " I asked.
" Kiddo If someone like Matteo can breach the security of one of the most secured places on earth which is Pentagon then anything is possible ,
I am afraid it's an inside job in Matteo's escape " Michael said.
" I think we should get ready for the meeting " Marissa said.
" Yes se do but I guess we are once again going to need Charlie's little boy charms " Michael said smiling.
" What no !! Michael after what happened last time we can't risk
Charlie's life " Marissa said.
" Marissa have you forgotten that It's just my physical appearance is of
4 year old , I am still me " I said.
" Don't worry , this time I am going to make sure that Charlie stays with me "
Michael said.
" Why am I needed for the meeting ? "
I asked.
" Because bud your going to help us track down the mole " Michael said.
" How ? " I asked.
" If you find anything suspicious during the meeting you need to tell me , no one will be suspicious of a child " Michael said.
