Mark's POV
today, i woke up early and saw lexie still in bed. i want to wake her up, so i knocked on her window (btw, the windows were close to each other, so i can reach it easily). then, as if to answer the knock, she woke up. "good morning", i greeted. "good morning too", she greeted me back. "hey, want to go to school together?" i invited her. "ok", she answered. "then, better prepare now. i'll go there to pick you up", i said. "ok", she answered. after the little talk, i went to the bathroom and prepared to go to school.
Lexie's POV
oh, he'll go here to pick me up. HE WILL PICK ME UP!!! oh my god. i need to prepare. PREPARE!!! after the sudden realization, i took a good bath and groomed myself at my best so i'll look good. then, i went downstairs to eat my breakfast. "oh? why are you so early today? you usually wake up after i drag you out of your bed", mom asked, looking quite shocked at me. "mark woke me up, mom. he said that he will pick me up so we can go to school together", i answered as i was eating my breakfast. "oh? so that's why you were all groomed up and smell so nice. my, my, someone wants to impress somebody!", she said, teasing me. "mom!" i shouted. "you really like that boy, huh?" she said. "well, i can't help it. where can you find a cute, strong, humble, kind and intelligent boy like him?" i answered her as i was finishing my food. just then, after i finished my food and got my bag, the doorbell rang. he was there. he told my mom that he will pick me up and we went to school we talked about a lot of things. i asked him if he was new to being a programmer but he just said no. he said that he was selling his programs to different famous companies and that he gets paid by no less than $200,000 and that, most famous games were based on his game engines and ideas, so he gets to be a tester for the game. he said all of those things to me and he just said to keep it a secret and to just shrug it off my mind. he really is something, huh? who knew that this nobody in school is a huge somebody out there! while we were talking about many stuff, we didn't realize that we already reached the school gates and i got a sight on christine. "well mark, i'm glad you walked me to school", i said. "nah, don't mind it. it was my pleasure", he replied. "ok, i'm going then", i said to him. "ok, bye!" he said, waving his hand. after that, i disappeared in the crowd and went to christine. "so, how was he?" she asked. as i was about to answer her, i remembered what mark said: "keep everything a secret, ok?" "well, he was just as he seems", i lied. "really? well, just stalk him, for now", she said. "really? ok then", i said. then, the bell rang. we headed to our classrooms as usual.
Christine's POV
just now, i saw lexie walking with the shadow. i don't know why, but the two of them seem so close today. just yesterday, they seem so distant, but now, they look like they have known each other for a long time. something's definitely weird. just then, lexie came to me. "so, found out anything new about him?" i asked. "what? no! nothing's weird about him. he's just... normal", lexie answered, though i can clearly see through her that she is lying. i don't know what her reason is, but the two of us never lie to each other. but if she wants to play that way, then she leaves me no choice. i shall stalk the shadow myself.
