Lexie's POV
after i rested for a bit, i got up and went to the cafe to get something to eat. there, i saw a few guests just, hanging around and getting something to eat. as i entered, the guard saw me and told me to wait at the entrance for a bit and went inside the cafe hurriedly. after a while, he came back, bringing with him a waitress named ana. "please follow me, ma'am", she said as she gestured for me to follow her. and i did. when we got inside, she didn't stop at the tables but instead, went inside a cubicle that's even farther ahead. when i saw the cubicle, i was shocked. the contents in the cubicle were very fancy, from the chairs, to the tables, even the decorations are fancy. at the side of the wall i saw another cubicle which is used to serve food. i was so amazed at this point. there, the waitress told me to stay and wait as she went outside directly. after a while, she came back, bringing with her a menu of the food they serve. "ma'am, you can just tell your order by pressing the button in the wall and telling your order in the mic." ana said. "well, thanks, ms. ana", i replied. "it was a pleasure, ma'am", she said, "well, do you want anything else, ma'am?"
"now that you mentioned that, yes, i do. do you know what mark has done for this hotel?"
"he hasn't told you about this, ma'am?"
"no, not at all", i said as i ordered a chocolate drink.
"well, the owner of this hotel, was a kind man. he built this hotel in order to give us a job. well, at first it was ok but, time came when we were already losing customers due to other hotels being built up near popular locations, and we were already in the brink of bankruptcy. 3 years ago, sir mark, who was temporarily staying here, overheard the conversation of the manager and the owner about closing the hotel, and disagreed to the decision of the owner. but when the owner told him of the current situation, he told them that 'i'll be a stakeholder of this hotel. i'll give you enough money you need. also, i can invite some famous owners of some gaming companies for i was planning to hold my auction at this hotel this weekend. so, what do you say?' at first the owner started laughing and said, 'kid, i know you mean well, but there is no possible way that you can give me the money i need, which is 3 million dollars'. but then, sir mark showed to them his bank account, containing 5 million dollars! the manager was so shocked and after that, sir mark said his line that all of us will never forget, 'well, what are you waiting for? let's renovate this place for the weekend!' and, during the friday, gaming company owners from around the world came pouring in the hotel. luckily, we gave them a service that, in return, gave us a great rating and fame, especially when the press came. from then on, this hotel became very popular, even until now!"
"what? he did those?" i said as i was getting my order. i can't believe it! all of these workers here, who was supposed to lose their jobs, were saved by him.
"yeah. but still, i can't believe that he still doesn't have a girlfriend" ana said. "well, at school, he tends to appear as an outcast and as a weak person, that's why he doesn't get noticed." i said. "well, he really isn't the type of guy who likes to be in a crowd anyway." ana replied, "anywhow, let's quit talking about him and let's talk about you. how did you get a crush on him?"
"w-what are you talking about?!" i replied, sipping from the drink.
"you can't fool me ma'am. i noticed the way you would look at him"
"well, ok. at first, i just thought of him as a nobody in our school. but, things changed when my friend, christine, told me to stalk him, and i did. during that same day, as i was stalking him, i was going to be harrassed by 3 drunk men when he stood up to them, kicked their asses, and saved my life. from there my heart beats faster whenever i'm around him and whenever i see him smile, it just makes my day brighter", i said. as i realized what i said, my face burned up and the waitress laughed at me and said, "well, ma'am, i can definitely see that you're in to him. a lot" and after that, she asked my permission to leave and after that, she took off. but she was right though. i really love him, and i wish that he sees me that way too.
