My whole body aced, like I was being stabbed all over. I wanted to open my eyes but my eyelids were like lead weights. I managed to get them open and looked at my surroundings. I was in a living room but it wasn't mine. I sat up which made my whole back tensed up with pain. Ignoring this I stood up to wonder, but it didn't last long. I took on step and my foot filled with pain causing me to collapse on the floor. I heard footsteps for two directions and them hands on my arms trying to help me up. The finger pressed on my tender skin causing castsofic pain.

"Stop! That hurts!" I yelled and the people let go. I looked up and saw two boys about my age staring down at me. One was skinny, tall, with blue eyes and blonde hair. The other was taller and had a little more muscle then the other but he had brown hair and blue eyes.

"Sorry we were just trying to help." The boy with the blonde hair said.

"Got any crutches, that would help a lot." I responded sitting on the ground. The boy with the brown hair walked out of the room and when he came back he had a pair of crutches in his hand.

"How tall are you?" He asked sitting on the couch fiddling with the crutches.

"5 foot 8." I answered as he adjusted them before handing them to me. I took them and stood up adjusting them under my arms. When I was finshed I then headed for the door.

"Where are you going Mia?" One of them said from behind me.

"How do you know my name?" I asked since neither of them looked familiar.

"We all have Chemistry together." The blonde guy answered.

"Okay, well since you know my name it would be nice to know yours." I leaned against the door but bolted back up because it hurt my back.

"I am Alex." The brown hair guy said. "And this is Erik." He continued pointing to the blonde next to him.

"Well, thanks for helping me out but I am leaving." I opened the door and shut it behind me moving as fast as possible. Both boys caught up to me and walked by my side.

"Ok, well we will make sure you get home safely." Alex said. At this point I gave up because even if I said no they would have followed. The walk was very quite and intense, the boys constantly watching everything around us. The sky grew dark which made it hard to see and the air became cold. Finally we reached my house and when I got to the door the was a note taped to it. I opened it and began to read.

Mia,

I am going to be gone for a few days for work. Call me if you need anything. Love you lots.

Dad

After reading the note I went to get my key. My hand fumbled around inside my pocket and it was gone. It must have fallen out when I got beat up. I stared at the door for a moment thinking about how I was going to get in my house. Then I remembered that I could climb though the window in the living room. I headed for the window and the boys followed my confused by what I was doing. The window was unlocked and I opened it. I was about to start climbing when one of the boys grabbed my arm.

"Are you seriously going to climb through that?" Eric asked with a confused expression across his face.

"Yeah, I lost my key during the fight and this is the only other way in." I answered as I began climbing in but when I was halfway through my body shifted forward and I fell into my house. I got up and the boys followed inside the window. "Get out."
