A Full Moons Gaze

Chapter Five

The walk back was very peaceful. The birds chirped, animals ran around, and the flower seemed more vibrant. It took me longer to get back to Gemmas house because I kept stopping to admire nature. when I finally made it back everyone was waiting for me inside. I walked into the kitchen and found Gemma cooking food.

"So what did you tell you dad?" Gemma asked while stirring a pot.

"He wasn't home like usual. He's gone on a trip for work." I said looking down at my new phone figuring out how to use it. Alex and Eric weren't paying any attention to us. They were completely indulged into there video game.

"Ok well make-"

"DIE!!!" Eric yelled interrupting Gemma. Gemma glared at Eric which he didn't notice.

"Anyways like I was saying, make yourself at home." I walked out of the kitchen and threw my bag into Gemmas room. I walked into the living and plopped onto the couch next to Eric. Looking at the T.V. I noticed they were playing Mortal Combat.

"I play winner." I blurted out. Both of them nodded and continued to play. Alex won and Eric handed me the controller. I chose my favorite character, Wonder Woman. (A/N: This is the Mortal Combat vs. DC Comics Characters version) The Game began and Alex attacked first by trying to kick my avatar in the head. I ducked and Jabbed him in the stomach. I punched him a bunch of times and when he recovered I launched my Special Combo Attack killing him Instantly (A/N: I don't know what it is actually called sorry.) Round two began and I landed three punches on Alex and then he swept me off my feet. He tried to kick me while I was down but I rolled over and got up. I kicked his character in the jaw and then punched him constantly.

"Finish Him!" The game yelled so I ended with a Round house kick to the chest. The match was over and Alex looked so defeated.

"You just got your ass kicked by a girl." Eric said while dying on the floor laughing.

"Fuck off!" Alex Yelled throwing down the controller and walking out of the door. Boys are way to emotional when it comes to video games. Eric grabbed the controller and challenged me to a game. I played against him and won both rounds in 45 seconds. He really sucked at the game. Gemma began placing food on the table. There was chicken, corn, potatoes, gravy, biscuits, and pie for desert. I helped Gemma set up plates and silverware at the table. When we were all sitting at the table except Alex.

"I will be back." I got up and went outside. Alex was sitting on the lawn just staring at the forest. As i got closer i could tell he was deep in thought since he didn't even know I even sat down.

"Hey you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah I am fine." He answered still looking at the forest.

"Look if this is about the game then I am sorry you suck." I giggled at the end he just looked at me. "Anyways Gemma finished dinner so get inside or you won't get to eat." I walked inside but Alex was already at the table waiting. Shit he must have been hungry. I sat down and we all began to dig in. My stomach felt so empty like I could eat a whole horse. When I was done eating I was shocked because I ate 5 times the amount I normally do. I put my plate in the sink and sat down.

"Mia!" Gemma yelled from her room. I went to her and Gemma had a back pack. She tossed some shorts and tank top. "You'll need these after the run unless you want to be seen naked." She smiled at me and I shoved them into a tiny. We went downstairs and met Eric and Alex waiting on the couch. We all then headed out into the forest. The walk was quite but the moon looked so beautiful. Its seemed so different even though it was the same moon I see every night. After about a half a mile walk we stopped by a tree with a hole in the side. We all stuffed the bags in the side of it and then they all looked at me with worried expressions.

"What?" I asked looking at them just as worried.

"We aren't going to lie to you." Eric began to say. "This is going to hurt a bit since it is your first full moon change." As those words left his mouth the moon reached its peak. All my nerves began to feel like it was on fire. I feel to my knees and pain surged my body. My bones began to shift inside my body. I ccreamed out in pain now laying on the ground. This occurred over and over for what felt like hours. They all looked at me worried and scared.

"Mia let the change over take you. Let your wolf out." Gemma said as she stood next to me. I tried to do what she said but it wasn't working.

"She must be a half-blood." Eric said and within that moment all pain stopped. I was suddenly on all four looking at my friends.
