A Full Moons Gaze

Chapter Six

Everything was different, all my senses had been enhanced. My ears filled with noises from town and from the forest. Someone the nudged my side and I saw a beautiful brown haired wolf with blue eyes. What do I look like?

"Come on let's go." I heard Alex say but not by talking. I heard it inside my mind. Alex ran ahead and I followed. The run was amazing, the feeling of the wind on my face was the best part. We ran for about an hour and before we left to go home I stopped on a cliff. I could see the whole town and I found it amazing how clear everything from town sounded. Alex came and sat next to me staring at me.

"Come on we are heading back." I heard Gemma say. We all then ran back to tree to changed back. I sat behind a bush and changed back which a lot easier then changing into a wolf. I changed into my clothes and met everyone back by the tree. We all headed back to Gemma's house and I was so tired from the whole experience that I fell asleep as soon as I hit the Gemma's bed pillow. When I woke up my whole body felt different. I could feel my inner wolf under my skin waiting to escape. I went to get up but was stopped by a pair of arms around my waist. I looked over my shoulder to see Alex laying next to me. I slowly split out of his arms and to my bag. i changed into a pair of tank top and shorts because I was so hot. After that I made my way to the kitchen to make some pancakes. When I was done I made mine and put the rest into the stove to keep warm. I sat down at he table and saw that Gemma and Eric weren't in the living room. Where else could they be? I walked around the house to look for them. When I did find them they were snugged up with eachother in the bathtub shocking wet. I left them some towels and then I heard my phone buzz from the living room. I looked at the screen to see a text from my dad.

Hey honey, just checking in.

I am fine...Staying with a friend until you get back. I love you see you in a week.

Love you too.

I put my phone down again and Alex walk in the room plopping down on the couch. His brown hair was everywhere and he looked so tired. He's so adorable........Wait what?!?!?  I opened the oven and Alex was in the kitchen within seconds. I put some on a plate and then handed it to him. He scarfed them down and when he was done looked fully awake.

"So whats the plan for to-" I began but my ears were bombarded with sounds of everything. It rung making my ears hurt so bad to the point where I collapsed. I grasped my ears until wanting it all to stop. The sound died down and when I was done I saw Alex kneeling next to me. 

"Well, first things first we need to get the basic training on how to use you're wolf senses." Alex said getting up and then helping me up. 

"Ok when so we start?" I asked but Alex was already gone. He walked out of Gemma's room wearing shorts and a T-Shirt.

"Now." He lead me outside and then he was about 100 feet away from he in 1 second. What the fuck?!?! How did he get so far away?!?  "Concentrate on being fast" He yelled. I stood there and closed my eyes and imagined a Cheetah. I took a step and then next thing I know I am standing next to Alex. He smiled at me which made me smile and blush. "Now find on sound in the forest and make it so that all you hear." I focused on the sounds around me and there were so many. I was trying to chose when I heard something unusual. 

"Hey look there is our targets." One man said. 

"Yeah, but the boss said we really only need the girl." Another man replied. Alex must have heard this because he stood closer and in front of me. We both stood there looking around when someone grabbed my arm. I gasped and grabbed Alex's hand to keep me from disappearing. He tugged me back, but I was still being held. My arm began to burn as if acid were bring poured on it. I screamed out in pain and that's when Alex pulled me back to him. I look to my arm and found a plant in it. I yanked it out also burning my fingers. 

"You ok?" He asked pulling out another plant from my arm. 

"Yeah." I answered holding my arm. We stood there for a moment and then I heard Gemma scream. I bolted towards the sound and found Gemma lying on the ground with plants all over her body. I pulled as many out as I could but my fingers began to burn so bad that I had to stop. Alex appeared by my side and picked her up. We ran to the house and set her on the couch. 

"Wheres Eric?" Alex asked causing me to search the house. 

"He not here!" I yelled from the bathroom running out of the house. I stepped outside when I smelt something familiar. I took another whiff and realized something. That's Eric's cologne!  I followed the scent into the forest and found Eric on the ground unconscious. 

"Eric!" I screamed and dropped to my knees. I felt wetness on my knees and smelt something weird. I looked down and saw a crimson liquid all over the ground. I saw he had a cut on the side of his stomach. I slugged him on my shoulder and ran back to the house. I busted through the door and set down Eric on the floor. I cleaned off his wounded and then bandaged it up. When I was done I stood looking at my friends. They got hurt because those guys were after me. I walked outside to clear my head but it didn't help. I walked over to the trees and stood there. All of my emotions were everywhere and my rage overpowered me. THOSE BASTARDS WILL PAY!!! I punched the tree I was sitting next to and then slide down it crying. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me but i knew it was Alex because of his scent. 

"Calm down. Your emotions are everywhere." He said stroking my hair. "They are going to be fine." I cried and cried as Alex held me. I felt so safe in his arms, as if nothing in the world could hurt me. I relaxed and eventually drifted off into sleep. 

Alex P.O.V.

I held onto Mia while she cried until she fell asleep. I picked her up bridal style and carried her into the house. I put her into Gemmas bed and then just looked at her. She looked so peaceful besides the fact that she had a tear stained face. I put some of her stray hair behind her ear and then tucked her in. i was about to leave when she caught me by my wrist.

"Dont go please." She said with a tired look. 

"I wont." I said as I laid down next to her. She snuggled into my chest and I wrapped my arms around her. I made sure she was asleep and safe before I drifted to sleep. I will make sure nothing happens to you Mia.
