Frozen Solid

Tonjit lets out a scream. "It's the Sea King that lurks around here!"

Multiple people are screaming that I can't tell exactly who. All I know is that Aokiji is not moving, but there's no reason any of us should be worried. He is a Supreme Admiral after all.

"Get away from it!" Usopp screams.

"Watch out!" Luffy warns.

"Do something!" I groan.

"Ice Age," Aokiji flatly states.

It takes a few seconds, but once the ice starts to encase the water and monster of the sea, it is quick to spread over everything that is in the way. Only the power of a Devil Fruit could do this, along with the strength this man must be harboring. I can feel the air around us has dropped a couple degrees as well.

"Devil Fruit!" the boys blurt out.

"I knew it," I mumble.

"The sea froze over!"

"Logia Type...the freezing power of the Ice-Ice Fruit," Robin explains. "This is the extent of the power of an admiral of the Marine Headquarters!"

Aokiji is slow to stand up, probably since his entire body became an icicle at the intensity of the move he just used. Each movement he makes the cracking of ice can be heard. The hand that was in the water is slow to turn back to normal as it looks like it was changed fully into ice. "That should hold for about a week," he turns, heading back up the ramp and away from the sea. "You can take your time. Good luck locating your village. It's a little cold, by the way, you should wear more clothing."

"Is this a dream?" Tonjit mumbles.

"The sea became a land of ice," Chopper (back down to his normal form) has stars in his eyes.

"I wonder if he got that Devil Fruit because of his rank, or if that Devil Fruit helped him get his rank," I muse. "Either way, that was impressive."

"Sherry, we can cross the sea now!" Tonjit cheers. "After ten long years, we can finally reunite with our friends!"

Sherry lets out a happy neigh.

"It's a good thing he showed up to do this," Luffy grins.

Tonjit, with the biggest smile on his face, turns around and runs back to shout at the man that has given him what he has longed for. "Thank you! Thank you so very much for this miracle! Thank you!"

I look back to see Aokiji raise one hand in response. "His duty is to serve and protect civilians, so this is the least he could do."

"The least we could do is not look so impressed," Zoro grumbles.

"Seems a lot more Devil Fruit users are on the Grand Line," Sanji takes a drag of his cigarette.

Tonjit returns to his sled, climbing in and appearing moments later with a winter coat on. "Well, we'll be going now. We still have a long journey ahead of us."

The boys help Tonjit get his sled down to the ice, giving us the opportunity to feel for ourselves how solid the ice is. The chill that now surrounds us reminds me of the winter island where we found Chopper, so we can't stay down here for long.

"Good luck, old guy and horse," Luffy nods.

"Don't forget to change Sherry's bandages," Chopper orders.
