TAYA'S POV

I have been in this damn cell for three damn days due to deputy wanting to press charges. Pippy has been in to see me every day and to keep me updated on everything that has happened. The I met my father and brother apparently my father knew who I was in front of Goofy and the sexy bastard who carried me into the cell.

I told her to allow them only one question each and to not fully go into detail about what all has happened. She informed me that she may have slipped up on something from when we met and I have to admit I was kinda worried about how they would view me.

Pippy knew what had fully happened because she was there but there are still somethings from that time that she doesn't know about. Those things are my secrets. Only the nurse and doctor know about those secrets because they helped me with treatment.

I stand up from the cell bench and start pacing. It is Monday and that means in a handful of minutes I will be collected to go stand in front of a judge and plead my case. Usually if anything like this happen Storm and Sage would swoop in and the charges would vanish but not this time and I didn't want them too.

I had given Pippy orders to reach out to the lawyer we use when one of our people get in a bind so I just had to be patient. My pacing stop when I hear keys rattling as someone walks to my cell. I look at see that it is Storm unlocking my cell, " HellKat, I need you to turn around and place your hands behind your back."

I do as he says. After the cuffs are on me he escorts me to the attached courtroom. I raise my head and see that there is a bunch of people already here. Pippy is talking with my brother, father, and the sexy asshole with them. I see Sage close to them talking to some guy in a fancy suit that I have never seen before. My eyes lock onto to on person. This person is not suppose to be here.

Storm uncuffs me and before he can say anything to me, I rush to the person who is fully disobeying one of my direct orders. I stop right in front of him starring into his eyes. I am torn between yelling, hurting or hugging him. He smiles down at me," Hey Sweet Pea."

I lost it and threw myself into his arms releasing pent up tears that I had been holding back.

We let go and I automatically feel eyes all around me. Sage steps forward " How do yall know each other?"

I look at him as he answers " Please tell me, daughter, why I would not know my own granddaughter?"

Sage gasp, " But how?"

Gramps sighs, " I am the one who came up with plan to keep Taya hidden."

My father moves closer, " So you did know about us?"

I shake my head as Gramps answers, " She knew I was her mother's dad but I never uttered a word about her parents to her."

Sage who now has tears in her eyes, " How long have yall known each other?"

Gramps looks at me as I answer, " Gramps is the one who saved Pippy and I."

Sage gasps again and looks at Gramps in pride and horror. Sage looks as if she wants to say more but is stopped when the guard states, " All rise for Judge Crowley."

We all take a seat once the Judge takes his spot and motions for us to sit. He looks around his court room and stops when he looks directly at me and Gramps. He humphs out, " Someone please tell me why I have a Mccormick in my courtroom?"

Gramps chuckles before standing, " I can answer that for you Your Honor but let me give you some insight of this case."

I lean back in my chair and wait for the show to begin. Gramps walks from around the table and addresses everyone, " My client Taya O'Duels has been abused my Maysville Sheriff's Department. She was in another town when she was supposedly arrested for a dumby warrant. Our local 'good guys' decided to strong arm her into a cell. Before getting her into the cell she felt like her life was on the line and defended herself."
