When Green Eyes Met Blue

💚Chapter 7💙

Louis puts the stack of papers on the desk.

"Alright, quickly pick yours." He says while plopping on a nearby chair.

"This is seriously an extremely terrible idea!" Liam says in disbelief while Zayn just silently searches for their paper through the bundle.

"Oh hush, Payno" Louis says rolling his eyes.

"Got em" Zayn says pulling out his and Liam's assignments out of the bundle.

Louis stands up and takes the bundle "I'll be back in a bit" And leaves.

"Zee this is honestly a really bad idea!" Liam says worried.

"We'll be alright, Li." Zayn says flipping through his assignment.

"But Z-" Liam starts but Zayn cuts him off.

"Do you trust me?" Zayn asks looking straight into Liam's honey brown eyes.

Liam nods. "Of course I do but-"

Zayn cuts him off again "Then trust me on this one too."

"But what if we get into serious trouble?" Liam asks scared.

"Then I take all the blame. Simple as that." Zayn says getting down from the desk with their assignments in his hand.

"But I don't want-" Liam starts to be cut off by Zayn yet AGAIN.

"Shh baby. Now we better go out, hm?" Zayn asks stretching his free hand to Liam.

Liam just nods and takes Zayn's outstretched hand while trying to hide the blush that was creeping upon his face. It's not the first time Zayn has called him something like that and he's pretty sure Zayn just likes using terms like that and that he doesn't actually mean it. 

He really needs to stop crushing on his best friend. Doesn't matter if he's a WALKING GOD. Liam shakes his head to himself as Zayn walks them out to the place where they sneaked in from.

"Ready?" Zayn asks letting go of Liam's hand and turning to him.

Liam nods. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Zayn nods and crouches down on the ground again so Liam can climb. The both of them soon jump out of the campus and find Louis already waiting for them.

"Now?" Liam asks turning to Louis.

"Now we go home" Louis replies, turning around to walk back home.

"You think it'll work?" Liam asks unsure.

"It will Payno, it will." Louis says confidently smirking.

Louis starts walking ahead while kicking a stone.

What a hypocrite.

Liam takes Zayn's hand extremely anxious. Zayn just gives Liam's hand a small squeeze with a reassuring smile on his lips and Liam swears his heart does somersaults.

Louis turns back to see why there was so much silence only to find both Zayn and Liam still standing by the wall and so Louis yells "Faster you lovebirds or we're gonna be in trouble!" before starting to walk ahead again.

Liam blushes a crimson red while Zayn just chuckles and starts following Louis, tugging Liam along with him.

"I can't go back" Liam whines on hearing Louis say that they will be bunking class for the day.

"Why not?" Louis asks surprised. "You don't live with your parents." He adds.

"The dorm I stay at is really strict" Liam pouts.

"Change it then." Louis says making Liam pout harder.

"You can come with me." Zayn says making both Louis and Liam turn to him with surprise but Louis smirks after a second.

"Yeah Payno. You should go with Zayn" He says while nodding his head in agreement.

Liam frowns in confusion but nods agreeing without any hesitation making Zayn smile.

"Go. Shoo off then!" Louis says pushing both of them out of his house earning a glare from Liam and an eye roll from Zayn.

"What an idiot" Liam huffs as he walks down the street with Zayn who was kicking a stone lost in some thought.

"You really don't mind me staying?" Liam asks turning to Zayn while entering the gates to Zayn's luxurious bungalow.

Zayn was rich. Like RICH rich. His father was the CEO of Malik Enterprises while his mother owned one of the biggest boutiques in Bradford. He didn't really need to study as he was naturally going to get his father's company once he came of the age, yet Zayn always paid attention to his education and has always been so down to earth and kind which always made Liam admire him more. It was one of the many things Liam loved about Zayn.

"Yes love. I'm sure." Zayn says with a reassuring smile as he opens the door letting Liam inside.

Liam blushes again but quickly masks it up by looking around the house.

"Don't you get bored?" Liam asks turning to Zayn with curious eyes making Zayn chuckle.

"I like my solitude a little too much, I guess!" Zayn says making his way to the kitchen. "Make yourself at home, meanwhile I'll get you something to eat."

Liam nods and sits on the couch making himself comfortable while still looking around.
