A week had passed. There was no news from Zayn. Except for the one time when he called Liam in the middle of the night, told him he loved Liam and immediately hung up without giving Liam even a chance to register things let alone react to it. When he stopped answering calls after that, Liam called Zayn's mum who confirmed that he was indeed in Bradford and is safe and sound but busy. Liam wanted to ask more but he decided he'd ask it to Zayn himself and so Liam just thanked Zayn's mum and hung up.

Now Liam and Louis were sitting across the coffee table from Harry and Niall that was in Zayn's living room. Ever since the day in park, Harry and Niall made sure to check in on Louis everyday. Louis never left Zayn's house. He was waiting for his return. Liam still didn't know what was going on and Louis really wanted to tell him but didn't. Louis still didn't know what was going on between Liam and Zayn and Liam wanted to tell Louis all about it really badly but didn't.

Both were waiting for Zayn to say it along with them but Zayn was simply MIA.

"How are you doing today?" Harry asked.

"Could be better" Louis mumbled.

"So are we like friends now?" Niall suddenly asked making the guys share a look with each other.

Louis and Liam just shrugged and Harry remained silent, wondering about it. They were all getting along quite well with each other and it wouldn't hurt to know each other more.

Maybe they could all be friends after all.

"I'd like to be more than friends with pretty blue eyes over here" Harry said and winked at Louis while Louis just rolled his eyes.

"And Liam, it'd be great to be friends with ya!" Harry said smiling at Liam.

"Thanks for the offer Styles but I'm not adding ya into our circle without Zayn here. The three of us have been friends since forever and no way on earth are we gonna be adding a new person without one of us present here." Liam said standing up.

"Where are you going?" Louis asked looking at Liam confused.

"To see if there's any news from Malik." Liam replied and went to his room.

"I feel like I'm third wheeling even though you're not a couple" Niall said standing up.

"Yet." Harry corrected him.

"Yeah and I'm off. Goodbye." Niall said and left.

"What an awkward situation to be in." Louis muttered under his breath.

"Let's go watch a movie" Harry suggested but Louis shook his head.

"I'm not leaving Liam alone." Louis said.

"Oh I'm sure he wouldn't mind, he's busy reminiscing his lover boy" Harry said, a light smirk on his face.

"Excuse me?" Louis said frowning at Harry.

"Don't tell me you don't know now!" Harry said looking at Louis in disbelief.

"No, I know." Louis said and Harry let out a sigh of relief.

"Good to know you aren't oblivious!" Harry said and Louis glared at him making Harry laugh.

"Movie then?" Harry asked again and Louis shook his head.

"Alright, coffee it is. See ya in the evening at sharp 4, bye!" Harry said and left before Louis could reply.

"Stupid fucker" Louis mumbled.

"Ooooh, someone's got a date!" Liam giggled.

"You lil shit-" Louis said and took off after Liam but Liam wasted no time in running off into the house either.

"Come here you!" Louis said chasing after Liam.

"I'm going before you can catch me!" Liam said sticking his tongue out at Louis while running back to the living room and just when he reached the main door, it opened and Liam bumped into the person who opened it.

"Oof, my nose!" Liam said rubbing his nose before seeing who he bumped into.

Liam gasped. "ZAYNIE!" Liam said, his face lighting up on seeing Zayn.

"Hi" Zayn mumbled, a light smile on his face and Liam immediately hugged him.

"ZAYN IS BACK?!" Louis said running into the living room on hearing Liam call out Zayn's name.

"OMG- ZAYN!" Louis squealed and ran to Zayn and Liam and joined in on the hug.

"I missed you so much!" Liam said burying his face in Zayn's neck while Louis smacked the back of Zayn's head and mumbled curse words at him.

Zayn just smiled silently. He had just come back from what was his "home" but right now he was feeling weirdly at home with the two of his most precious people. A feeling he didn't get when he went to visit Bradford and a feeling he doubts he'll ever get in any other place or with any other people.
