Part 12
Villanelle POV:
Eve had remembered! She got me a lovely little perfume which I love. Now it was my turn to give her gifts. As i was grabbing stuff out the bag I snuck the ring into my pocket. First I gave her the teddy. I managed to get it wrapped at the shop.
Eve: "You got me presents?"
Villanelle: "Of course."
She tore open the wrapping paper and widened her eyes at the pink little teddy in a princess costume.
Villanelle: "it's the same as the one I got you a few months ago that you ripped apart."
Eve: "I love it! Thank you!"
Next I gave her some clothes which I also got wrapped.
Eve: "Oh. my. GOD!! THESE ARE AMAZING! I love you so much Villanelle."
Villanelle: "I love you moreee."
She sarcastically scoffed at me.
And finally ,that's what Eve thinks, I gave her the La Villanelle perfume. When she opened it she didn't say anything. She just looked at me and pulled me on top of her and kissed me. I was so in love with that moment I almost forgot the ring. I got off the sofa and took a few deep breaths.
Eve: "V? Are you okay?"
Villanelle: "Yeah I'm fine dear."
I pulled out the little box and opened it and looked at it before closing it and turning back around to face Eve. I held it tight in my right hand.
Villanelle: "Eve. We've known each other for 4 years now and I've loved you since day one. I know we've only been a bit closer for a few months now but... I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You're my everything Eve."
I got down on one knee and looked up at Eve. I untightened my grip around the little box and opened it.
Villanelle: "Eve. Will you marry me?"
