“Jedediah, me and Teddy are hosting a dinner this Saturday and we'd really love to see you there.” Sacajawea said to him just earlier at work, two days away from the said dinner.

Jedediah couldn't say no this time, Wea and her husband are already expecting him, it would seem rude not to show up. So now he's infront of a body mirror his little brother Peter owns, trying on his best outfits wich are a collarbone shirt with flat front pants, or a flannel shirt with jeans.

“What're you doing? If you're trying to impress a date then you're not gonna be successful.” he hears Peter say, the blonde turns his head and sees the teenage ginger standing by the doorway.

“Pete! I ain't going to no date.” the teenager grinned and giggled, he surely loves to tease his brothers if given the chance “Yeah yeah. Where you heading to anyways?”

Peter walks closer to his older brother, hands in his pocket “I'm going to a dinner my friend an’ her husband's hosting the Saturday. Really need a proper outfit y'know.”

“An’ you were planning to go in one of those??” Peter furrows his brows and Jed does the same to his younger brother, trying to annoy him.

“What? What's wrong with them?” the ginger looked at him with extreme disapproval “No way in hell you're going in one of those.” Peter turns to the door and yells for Austin “Hey Tin! You still have that suit?”

“What suit?”

Peter, Austin and Jedediah are now standing infront of the mirror, the blonde wearing a midnight blue suit, his hair combed properly “I feel like I'm going to picture day.” Jed couldn't help but mutter, making both his ginger brothers chuckle.

“Alright, do you like it Jed? I can get it in the wash for ya so you can use it at the dinner.” Austin asks, turning to big brother mode.

“Yeah, this'll do. You sure I can borrow this Aussie?” the oldest nods, a content smile visible.

“Don't worry ‘bout it Jed! Go have fun on Saturday.” Peter assures him, although this doesn't make Jed feel less nervous.

Saturday comes, Octavius and Jedediah are out for lunch break and they're currently eating out at a diner, not that much people go here anyways.

“Are you coming to the dinner later Jed?” Octavius asks to blonde, Jedediah nods “I didn't wanna turn miss Wea down for a second time.” he jokes, both men chuckle a bit before the waiter arrives with both their orders.

The waiter sets the food on the table, Octavius and Jedediah thanks the waiter and start to eat.

“This is great pasta! You want to try?” the brunette looks at Jed, who's stuffing his face with avocado toast, bits of avocado visibly smeared on his face. Octavius laughs at this “Jed, use a tissue next time.” he said in a merry voice.

He hands the blonde a tissue and Jedediah gratefully accepts it “Thanks Tavi” he said, proceeding to wipe the avocado off of his face.

“How about you?”

“Pardon?”

Jedediah looked at Octavius eyes filled with hesitation “Are you coming to the dinner?” he voices out, Octavius nods casually “I've always attended their dinners. It's very nice actually, you'll also meet our other friends there.”

Jedediah nods as he continues to take a bite of his avocado toast.

“You do know where Wea and Teddy are hosting the dinner, right?” Octavius looks at Jedediah with expectant eyes.

“Of course I do, Sac told me.” he said before continuing to joke “Why? Were you gonna pick me up or something?” This makes Octavius chuckle once more, Jedediah couldn't help but admire that genuinely happy smile the brunette has.
