King Yanak organized a royal burial with all due respects for merchant Saguni. It was still a huge confusion for them about the murderer behind this. The symbol of the serpent puzzled general Dasthan who was appointed for all the investigations. Their faces shrinked as they aimed their eyes towards the remnants of the funeral pyre with the ashes scattered on the ground. Evening sky formed dark spots around the grey clouds and everything was tranquil till the owl became a gloomy, persistent vocalist.
"Honourable sir, I sense something really dangerous. Why do I feel like this won't end here?" General Dasthan said with a worried expression. His young blood was heated when he could probably realize the consequences of their actions.
"He involved in the massacre of the Naga clan."
It was an interruption to their conversation. They turned their heads towards the direction of the voice. Chief minister Malviran gave a miserable withered expression with an idiotic smile.
"Sorry for interrupting you both honourable sir's but it's the truth." Amithnal said by bowing in front of Malviran and Dasthan.
"What's the relationship between merchant Saguni's death and the massacre of the Naga clan Chief guard Amithnal?" Questioned Dasthan in a disliking tone.
"Honourable sir, in my opinion their curse is haunting the palace." Amithnal replied.
Ha!!! What kind of a thing does he try to say? This dude has become a headache for me now. He's like a phantom following us all the time."
Malviran's mind literally hated reacting to this noble youth. He always felt as if Amithnal was an enemy who can even steal his position.
"Chief guard Amithnal, I think it's better to stay out of these problems because they don't relate to you. Investigations are handed over to Dasthan so please look on to other duties."
Though Dasthan too had negative impressions about Amithanl he accepted what Amithanl said because he was the only adversary in that monsterous plan.
"A truth lies in his answer Honourable sir. Before the death of the Nagas they happened to chant the verse of death, a curse of millions. Just think about the serpent symbol, it can be like that but we have to go deep into this."
Malviran merely shook his head with a gawky hand dog look with that dirty turban resting around his head.
"Yes it might be, but your duty is not to inquire about these."
Amithnal smirked. That smirk was a look of insult for the old witty Malviran.
"Amithnal, I know that it's not your duty but I expect your help for further investigations." said general Dasthan.
"What the hell! Are you out of your mind Dasthan? Does this dude have some kind of an enchanting power? First victim was the king and now Dasthan. What the...? I should get rid of him somehow."
Amithnal took his sword to the other hand and cupped his hands in order to bid farewell while passing another mocking smirk at the defeated Malviran.
" Trust me honourable sir, I will do my best to find out the invisible force behind this. This might lead us to find out the way how the spirit Sathi was summoned as well." said Amithnal.
"Yes you are correct. Let us all have the same goal this time." said general Dasthan.
Malviran stared at both the young noble youths in a defiant manner.
"You old mule , Wait for your turn. You deserve something more than this."
