Chapter 1

Rachel's pov
I woke up at 7 to the twins shouting I got up and went into their rooms they were arguing over toys right I said sternly quiet it's only 6 ok you will wake daddy up too late I heard Chris say smirking you deal with them I said going to shower I showered and put on leggings and a crop top with boots and my black leather jacket I straightened my hair and went downstairs Chris had got the kids dressed and their breakfast sorted hey I said smiling making coffee Chris went to shower we left the house at 8 and dropped the kids off at school first as we walked in the primary school I felt this presence I hadn't felt in nearly 12 years I turned and no one was there but I felt eddies presence which was odd but not having time to dwell me and Chris had a early start at Waterloo road interviewing maths teachers I pulled in beside Steph hey she said hugging me we had become best friends which was weird but she new how to keep secrets me and Kim had not been getting on since max she didn't believe what he had done to me so we rarely speak as friends me and Steph walked in grinning about grantlys new hair piece. I went into the staff room and sat next to Christine and Michael they were dating but didn't think anyone new hey I said loudly rach I heard Tom say looking hungover I looked at Steph and we both started giggling how are you so happy Tom said you were drinking vodkas all night I smirked and said I had Chris all night what Audrey said spitting out her drink omg not like that Chris said going red aww Cristopher I said smirking suddenly he came over with his devil eyes and lifted me up and grabbing my seat leaving me standing and everyone laughing fine I said crossing my arms I decided to sit on Chris making him jump I laughed you took my seat so I'm sitting on you I said smirking then Kim and Andrew walked in looking serious ruining the mood morning Kim said to everyone right I said getting up and grabbing Michael and Chris with me we have interviews we walked out giggling about last night. We interviewed 10 people and only one caught my eye Daniel chalk it was around 12 when we finished me and Steph were free so we decided to walk round the school we were laughing when my phone went off it was the kids school they were in trouble and needed lifting Steph went and told Chris and said we would go together as we were both free Steph joined us as well we arrived and were left in the reception we were called in 10 minutes later Steph waited outside hi said the headteacher were just waiting on the other girls parents my phone vibrated it was Steph telling me Eddie had just walked in with Melissa suddenly I felt dread I showed the message to Chris he new all about Melissa and Eddie as we sat up most nights discussing it I heard the door open and I moved closer to Chris mr and mrs Lawson said the headteacher this is mr and mrs mead me and Chris looked at each other dying to laugh I got up and faked a smile Melissa Eddie I said shaking their hands rach Eddie said shocked so said Chris deflecting any tension what's happened ok said Amelia and Beth were fighting and Thomas got involved and he's angry now because Beth punched Amelia can I see my kids I said angrily of course the teacher said he brought them in and Amelia was hiding behind Thomas mummy she said running into my arms baby I said kneeling down hugging her I seen Thomas holding back baby I said to Amelia auntie Steph is next door go and see her she left whilst I sat on the floor next to Thomas and Chris the other side Tom I said softly it's not fair he said looking at Chris what isn't I said Mia was hurt I tried to protect her but I couldn't Tom I said to him it isn't your job ok it's mine and dads ok yeah Chris said hugging him I'm sorry he muttered baby I said looking at him you did what you thought was right ok I'm not angry but fighting is wrong ok he stared at me then at Chris and nodded smiling more I'm sorry mr jones he said to the headmaster it's ok Thomas he said smiling auntie Stephs next door I said and he went out to join her Chris helped me off the floor I felt Eddie and Melissa staring I walked up to the desk has my children done anything wrong I said fed up no he said looking scared so I said annoyed you got me and my husband to drive down here for nothing ok I run a school like you but for more vulnerable children ok and now that said school is 3 teachers down because of your incompetence so I said facing Eddie and Melissa who looked shocked at the way I spoke what are you going to do about your kid I mean she hit my daughter yeah well Melissa said about to make excuses no i said then Chris spoke my children have autism and adhd he said glaring at the headmaster you new this and said you could cope but you can't he then turned and said to Eddie and Melissa get your child some manners it's not acceptable to hit people now he said grabbing my hand me and my family are leaving the kids will be back next week and we stormed out we stopped and looked at each other and laughed omg I said wheezing after we calmed down we went to find Steph and the kids laying on the floor in reception giggling me and chris sat down worn out suddenly I heard Melissa Rachel a word no I said my eyes closed Rachel please I heard her say I opened my eyes and seen her standing in front of me like a bad smell I looked at Steph she was glaring at Melissa no I said as chris pulled me up we have work Mia Tom I said and they ran to my side let's go me chris the kids and Steph walked to the car as I buckled the kids in I heard Steph scoff loudly I shut the back doors and faced them Steph and chris were glaring at Eddie and Melissa what i said angry look Rachel Melissa said looking angry you don't have the right to be angry she said making me look at her as if she was mad you didn't tell me you had kids or you married she said stop I yelled fed up cut your bullshit why would I tell my sister who stole my boyfriend who ruined my life you broke me I said crying so no I won't tell you about all the wonderful things that have happened or the worst I won't tell you damn all with that I stormed into the car a few minutes later Steph and chris got in Steph sat between the kids and chris drive back to the school.
