Dan. What was a waterfall of tears is now a sea. I hug Lyra close to me. I look around to try and see Ryder. I scream when I do. Handcuffed. Pulling. Raging.
"Let him go !!!!" I yell words getting chocked up.
"You have the right to remain silent anything you say-" the police officer is cut off by Ryder.
"I love you" he tells me as they drag him outside.
"I love you too" I yell back. Two policemen come to me and try to take Lyra to put handcuffs on me. I twist and don't let go of my puppy. Ryder gave her to me. Will I see him again ? I'd rather not think of a world without him.
"She doesn't need them" Dan pipes up.
"Yes sir" the heck ??? Whatever I don't care I just want Ryder safe.
"Come with me" his voice full of authority. Dan holds my hand and leads me to his shiny Mercedes outside. He opens the passenger door and I sit in mind like a spinning top. Tears still flowing.
"Mimi im so glad I have you back now"
I sit there blank.
"I'm afraid we have to take you to the police station to be questioned, to see how long that mongrel needs in prison"
"His not a mongrel !!!! He's the most amazing person I've ever met and you've taken him away from me !!!"
"He captured you !!! You really think he loves you ??? No!! I do!!! He just loves your parents money" Dan yells at me, Lyra yelps.
"I've missed you so much just please come back to me" that hurts.
"Dan please you don't understand"
"No you don't! How do you think I feel the girl I love is stolen for over 3 months and then to make things worse falls in love with someone else !!! I don't care Mimi if you've slept with him or whatever your mine you always have been and always will be" the tears flowed I felt like a slut not only that but awful Dan has been searching for me, hoping I was still out there to find Id fallen for another guy.
