Chapter 15

After the drive we pulled outside fancy building that was out of a dream I once had. Ryder got out of the car walked round to my car door, opened it and held out his hand,
"For you madam"
"Why, thank you kind sir" I replied as I got out. We both laughed. A man walked up to us bowed and took the car keys to park our car for us.
We get in and I can tell my jaw is hitting the floor. It was so grand I couldn't help it.
Then the people came in, I nearly cried. Sarah she was the first I saw her dark blue gown, was elegant and perfect for her. He hair was curly and was lighter from the sun that I hadn't really seen much of. She was truly beautiful. She was holding the mask in her hand whilst talking to Harry in a confused and babbling tone.
"What if she's not here and the kidnapper is tricking us?"
With that I ran, (well tried to) as fast as could towards her. She saw me and ran at me. We basically crashed into each other. She was in shock.

"Is this actually you ???"

"Yes it's me" I replied laughing.

"Oh my god, you've had us all worried sick" she said nearly in tears.

"Well, things are very complicated"

"We all know you were kidnapped, Dan has been going mental, you have no idea. He's over there" she said pointing at him and smiling. I turned round to look at Ryder. He was smiling and talking to people he looked and me and I looked away, as I walked towards Dan.
His dark hair was perfect his blue eyes playing with my heart strings. I walked quickly and before I knew it I was in his arms. I'd always thought Ryder, I choose him; now I'm confused, very confused.

"Mimi, baby, your here" he exclaimed looking down at me.

"Dan I'm here, I'm not hurt, I'm totally fine, happy even."

"Mimi they had the police looking I was looking. I couldn't even go to school. I went to the willow, I ..... I looked everywhere"

I turned round to look at Ryder his face unreadable and jealous.

"It's all fine now, because your here with me" he explained his arms around my waist. "Please take your mask off, I've waited too long to see your face again"
I took it off, he gasped and pulled me closer. I didn't know what to do. He leaned closer again. I didn't move, I was suddenly stiff in his arms. Suddenly the music came on and someone was on the mic.
"Happy birthday Mimi !!!!!! Now let's start this ball !!!!!!" Saved my the bell, kinda.
Dan hadn't let go but, I could see Ryder swiftly walking up to me. Hallelujah. Or not.

"Hi your Dan, right ?" Ryder asked, being very polite.
"Yes and you are?" Dan asked with an edgy tone.
"Dan this is Ryder, Ryder this is Dan" I thought I should break the ice a little.
"And, who are you anyway?" Dan asked. Oh holy hell.
Before Ryder could answer, I did.
"A very close friend of mine, more like boyfriend"
"What?!" Dan shouted, thank god the music was loud.
"What do you mean boyfriend, Mimi this isn't funny stop joking now" Dan looked hurt. He pulled me closer so close and then, he kissed me. I kissed him back. Oh shoot, Ryder. I pulled away after a split second. And sided with Ryder. He held me very close almost to prove a point.

"Dan I've been away for too long. I've changed. So have you. I love you still but I have choices to make. I have things to do. Everyone knows that your not in love with me, you love Holly. Anyone can see it." Long heart felt rant over.

"I love you and know one else, I'm leaving for California tomorrow. I hope that why'll I'm away we can sort this out."

"How long will you be gone for?"

"Three months" he said wincing. "I've only just got you back and now I'm leaving you" he said.

"It's going to be difficult but we'll pull through, we'll always be close"

"Yeah let's not ruin your night, let's have fun beautiful" Ryder said whisking me off to the dance floor. We swirled round with ease at every turn and to finish lifted me off the floor.

"May I have this dance?" A voice asked from behind as the music came to an end. I turned unsure of who it may be, to see Harry and Sarah smiling at me.

"I was thinking we could swap partners for a bit" she giggles.

"Yeah sure, this will be fun" me and Ryder say at almost exactly the same.
Me and Sarah switch places and the boys hold our hands and position us for the dance. When the music starts me and Harry float round the dance floor. At school we had to learn how to part of our etiquette and social development. Yes, school was like that.
He was great we swirled twirled and curled our way round the floor.
"That was great, thank you"
"Your welcome Mimi" he kissed my hand and we swapped back to normal partners.

"That was fun" I told Ryder.
"Yeah it was. Come with me quickly" he took my hand and led me out of the dance and into the gardens.
