Halloween on my block

I talk about it a little more with him, he nods his head listening then my eyes water thinking about it again. I really was scared that I was going to drown , I mean that's what the person wanted.

He pulls me into a hug rubbing my back. I wipe my eyes to get the tears off of my face.

"It was just so scary." I say pulling away from him. I hear a scream and we both turn our heads to the door.

Antonio stands up walking out the room looking over the rail. He sees Logan pulling Charlotte down the hall seeing someone chasing behind them.

"Fuck." Antonio says coming back into the room, he pulls me up as I'm wondering what's happening.

"We need to hide someone just broke in." He whispers to me, he pulls me into the bathroom that's in my room locking the door.

I sit on the floor wiping my eyes.

Logan had pulled Charlotte into some room he found locking the door. They were breathing hard from running down the hallway away from the person.

The door of my room opens up, I lift up from the floor moving away from the bathroom door.

The closet the door in here, I think I left a weapon. Either a bat or a tennis racket. My dad left things here in the house.

I whisper to Antonio to check the closet. He comes back and he had a bat in his hand. The door knob of the bathroom start shaking.

Logan looks around in the room they're in he sees a door on the ceiling.

"Is this the attic?" He asks out loud and Charlotte looks up she nods her head.

He reaches up pulling on the string, he pulls the stairs down. Our attic in the house is like another room, it isn't too hot up there but there's another room at the top of the house.

They wouldn't be able to get to it in time.

My phone vibrates in my pocket, I take it out seeing Charlotte messages saying they are in my old room.

"They're going to the attic." I say to Antonio who pulled me behind him as the door is shaking.

He holds up the bat, the door opens. Revealing the man, my heart drops seeing the costume they are wearing.

My breathing starts changing and Antonio hits him with the bat. He pulls me out of the bathroom into the hallway and I tell him where the others are.

I open the door, seeing them fanning their hands for us to hurry up. I climb up the stairs, Antonio quickly gets up the stairs now they have to close the staircase.

They pull and see the man entering the room, Antonio grabs the string so it closes us in here.

Now it's pitch black, Logan holds me to him as I'm breathing hard. Charlotte stands up looking for a light switch, she uses her phone for light.

She finds it and the room lights up, there's a couch up here and a bunch of tote boxes.

"This leads to the another space at the top of the house." I say to them and Charlotte turns seeing the little door on the other side of the attic.

I stand up holding Logan's hand as we open the small door. This room has more couches, chairs, a bathroom and a tv. It's like another lounge room up here. I lock the door just in case.
