Dumbles Troubles

**I will be adding up the poll and deciding what would be best for 1 vs 2 stories and what school. I am leaning towards an American school rn **

Headmaster Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, and Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards sat back in his chair thinking about all his plans. He was an elderly man of 110 years old with long white hair and a beard long enough to be tucked into his belt if he so chose to. He made sure to charm his glasses to keep a grandfatherly twinkle in his eye, a kind smile and an air of all-knowingness. He made sure the last few generations looked to him for help and advice.

He looked at his chess board with the pieces labeled. He was excited to see what the newest piece would do this year. Young Harry Potter was coming to Hogwarts this year where Albus made sure he would be the one to be seen as a mentor and savior from the Dursley family. He noticed a few years ago he stopped receiving letters from his spy, Arabella Figg but he was not worried. The original messages showed that Vernon and Petunia were listening to him and his weapon would be meek enough for him to manipulate.

He was waiting for Hagrid to come up to his office so that he could have Hagrid get Harry from his Aunt's house. There he would make sure Hagrid mentioned the light side, Gryffindor and how evil Slytherin is. He would have to have Minerva McGonagall and Severus Snape dosed again to be loyal to him, and Severus to hate Harry. He had a contact in Knockturn Alley create some firewhiskey laced with the potion for Severus that he would not be able to detect due to the burn of the drink. He also had some Scotch created for Minerva that he knew she would accept and drink before the beginning of the term.

"Ah Hagrid, my boy, come on in" He said when he heard the knock at the door.

"Good morning Headmaster!" Hagrid bellowed as he entered. He was an extremely tall man with a thick beard and straggly appearance. He was part giant with a heart of gold but very easily manipulated.

"I have a very important task for you today my boy. I am trusting you with this and need your help to guide the young man on the right path." Dumbledore said. He leaned forward to look into Hagrid's eyes.

"O' course Headmaster. Wha ya' need me ta do" Hagrid said, with a beaming smile across his face.

"I need you to go to Surrey and pick up young Harry Potter to get his school supplies and then while you are at Gringotts I need you to pick up the package in vault 713." Albus said handing over the two letters he had made. One he hand wrote for Harry that excluded some of the important books about assimilating into the culture for muggle born and raised, as well as the letter for the Goblins with permission for Hagrid to take the stone.

"Oh thank you, 'eadmaster! I havn't seen young Harry since he 'as a lil babe" Hagrid all but cried in happiness. He quickly grabbed the letters and his umbrella standing up to leave.

Hagrid walked to the edge of the wards where he summoned the night bus to take him to 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey. The neighborhood looked much different in the day light with every house having the same basic look. If not for the numbers Hagrid would not know which house he should be going to. He knocked on the door only for it to be opened by a middle aged man with brown hair and brown eyes. He seemed to be around 45 years old and looked nothing like Vernon Dursley.

"Good morning, I'm 'ere for youn' 'arry." Hagrid greeted the man he assumed was Vernon Dursley. He had never seen or met the relatives when he dropped baby Harry off 10 years ago.

"I am sorry sir, I think you have the wrong address there is no Harry here." The man said, getting ready to close the door.

"This is the Dursley 'ouse isn't it?" Hagrid asked after looking at the number again.
