"Dear Mr and Mrs. Sailsbury and Mr and Mrs. Gaines,
"I'm writing to inform you all that your daughter Madeline and son Thomas, are safe at Mist Gate Castle. She was attacked last night by a black colored Raven. Somehow the creature is following orders from other Vampires or Witches. She is under the care of my servant, Thomas Gaines. We're going to The Shaking Blood Inn for dinner. Because of your business prevents you from taking care of your only daughter, she's under my guardianship, with Thomas. As such, if all of you don't come back home, I'll tell The London Courts to oversee the two children until they're 18.
"If you have any problems about this, my Lawyer will take care of everything".
Yours sincerely,
Lady Dresmonda,
Caretaker of Mist Gate Castle,
February, 1846
