𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

~ 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐠𝐨 ~

Once again, you've been woken up by someone throwing rocks at your window. Thinking it might be Heizou, you immediately stand up and opened the window only to notice it was your best friend and his gang.

"Woah, you were fast for once!" chuckled the oni. "Couldn't wait to see me huh?"

"What do you want Itto?"

"Just hang out with you my dear friend!"

You sighed then smiled. 

"Sure, I'm coming".

You quickly prepare yourself before joining your friend outside of the house.

"What do you wanna do?"

"See there's this battle with-"

"I don't wanna onikabuto battle Itto!"

"Alright..."

After some arguing about the onikabuto you and the gang decided to just go have a walk in Ritou. You were just sipping some boba tea when you saw a beautiful lady coming to you. It was Yae Miko.

"My dear y/n, it's been a while, hasn't it?"

You opened your eyes. You used to work for Yae Miko, but since what happened with your boy.. ex-boyfriend, you quit your job, not able to move from your house at that time and do anything.

"Lady Guuji! It's been a while for sure... I'm sorry for quiting the job so brutally I-"

"Shh, I'm not here to scold you," she said with a chuckle. " But since you're here, and that you seem to be better, maybe it is time for you to come back, isn't it?"

You thought about this for a minute and decided you were ready. You found someone who could find your ex back and you felt way better now. And to be honest, you needed moras... So you nodded.

"S-Sure! I'm ready Lady Guuji."

"Well, as you here, we need you today for a new novel. You wouldn't let us down, would you? You should come help us, my dear y/n..."

You nodded and smiled to Itto.

"We'll see each other later, right?"

Your friend nodded and you left with Yae to go to the Narukami Island. When you arrived to the the publishing house, you felt a sudden feeling of joy growing on you. You missed working here... But yet, you didn't miss the huge work you needed to do there. Writings novels, and print them, and put them in sold was so much work, that you totally forgot about it. It took you the whole afternoon, you didn't even notice the time passing. 

Yae Miko finally told you to go home, you were relieve but at the same happy that you could get back to work. Most people wouldn't have the chance to quickly work again as you did. Yae Miko was quite sympathic for that. As you went home you crossed path with the lovely Detective Heizou. He was with a man you didn't know at all. As he noticed you, you both smiled at each other before you decided to join him and his -probably- friend.

"Hi, Detective", you smiled.

"Please, dear, just call me Heizou."

You blushed at the name he usually gives you and nodded.

"What are you doing here, Heizou?"

"I was on a new case with my friend right here, but I don't worry, I always have time for you..."

"O-oh, I was just going back home, y-you know, but um..."

The detective let out a laugh.

"No need to be so nervous, my dear, lets go grab something to drink just the two of us, shall we?"

"Oh, well, I guess I shall take my leave then", said Heizou's friend, leaving the two of you, awkwardly.

"Sorry for your friend, I didn't mean to interrupt you-"

"No, its okay, don't worry about it," siad Heizou with a smile. "Lets'go ?"

You nodded and both of you went back to Ritou.

"So how was your day today, darling?"

You couldn't help but notice how many cute names he would give you since you both met for the first time. It made you flustered, but actually you didn't mind at all. Its been months since someone would give you nickname... Well, Itto did, but it was generally silly names, not like Heizou who was flirty and all.

"I hang out with my best friend Itto, and..."

"Oh, I hope he ain't mad at me anymore for that fake Onikubato..."

"He'll never forgive you", you said with a serious tone, before bursting out of laughter, Heizou quickly joined you.

"He was so offended at first, he talked about that to me for hours, but I think he kind of forgot now, so you're okay, I guess", you said with a smile.

Heizou chuckled.

"I'm sorry for him, but I needed someone for my show and he was the perfect victim, I mean, I thought he'd be..."

"Yeah, that show was kind of a mess with Itto, not gonna lie," you laughed. "But you greatly handle it."

"Oh, thank you, sweetie."

You immediately blushed.

"Anyway, um... you? How was your day?"

"Hah, kinda boring. You were missing but I'm glad I found you," he said with a wink. "No but for real, really boring, I was on a case that quickly got solved, nothing interesting enough." he then added after seeing your flustered face, which made him quite happy.

"Ah, I see. Your friend was working with you, I suppose."

"Exactly, but you see when you arrived the case was already solved so we were just walking, you didn't interrupt us, darling."

"I'm glad," you laughed.

"Oh, I forgot, I have to tell you something." said Heizou with a more serious face. "It might not be easy for you to hear."

"I'm listening."

"I'm going straightforward. I found more clues of your missing friend and... well, he didn't exactly went missing. Actually, I had the chance to meet one of his greatest friend and he told me he just wanted to leave without warning anyone. I'm... sorry..."

You just nodded. Deep down, you quite knew that was how it was. You just wouldn't face the truth so your brain made you believe that he disappeared. You didn't know how to feel. You were... sad? Because he left you but at the same time... You felt relief to not have to worry about him anymore. He wasn't the best boyfriend to you, so it was better for you that he left.

"I-It's okay, I think deep down knew it, but just wouldn't accept it."

"Let me treat you to a meal tonight to forget about this story, what do you think?"

You gladly accepted it. Spending more time with Heizou wasn't something you would decline.

Sorry for the short chapters, the others are gonna be longer so I didn't want to make the first ones too long...
