[Love was something beautiful... dreamy... magical. But sometimes, for some people it could be the most destructive thing in the world. A feeling that used to make your heart feel warm and protected could cut it deep in thousands cuts and leave scars that could never be erased.
Why falling in love if you end up being hurt? Wasn't it suppose to be amazing? Why did it makes people suffer then? That was the usual questions you would ask to yourself everyday. You hated to admit it, but you were in that category of person who believed that love was dumb and destructive. Only because the one that you used to love the most left you without a word. Without any excuses. He just... disappeared. You tried to comprehend this behavior, comprehend his choice but it was just too unacceptable and unbelievable for you. Who would even think to do such thing to their loved one?
Once again you were lost in yoour thoughts and Arataki Itto, your best friend, had to snap his fingers in front of your eyes to wake you up.
"Hello there, is there anyone, Itto's calling you! Hello, hello!" he kept repeating.
You blinked a few times before putting Itto's fingers away.
"Stop that, I am listening!"
"L. I. A. R. Liar! You were thinking about him again, weren't you?" he asked.
"No."
Yes. Of course you were. He hadn't left your mind since he was gone, it has been two months now. No matter how hard you tried to think about something else that wasn't related to Sanji, anything would remind you of him. It was like you were trapped in an infinite circle, and this one was filled with only bad thougts and memories of your lover. Itto really tried to cheer you up because he hated seeing you that way but he had to aadmit that it was probably useless. You would act like everything was fine but deep down you were devastated.
Itto sighed and put a hand on your shoulder.
"Listen, I might not be the best to give advice, but I think you need to do something to occupied your mind so you wouldn't think of him. Like an activity! Like... something related... to a certain animal... mostly purple, with horns and-"
"Stop with your Onikabuto thingy!"
"Oh, come on! I'm pretty sure it'll change your mind! Pluuus, there is Battle Royak soon, and I'll definitely participate, hehe! You should come! To encourage me of course, you wouldn't stand a chance against me if you participate, ahah."
You smiled a little. You were glad to have him as a friend. And his proposition was not that bad... At least you wouldn't think of him, would you? Both you and Itto went to the Narukami Island. Your friend wanted to fight, with an Onikabuto, children in the city. You didn't agree to this, but you knew he would do it anyway, so you quickly gave up. You watched him "play" with a kid without really paying attention to them when suddenly you noticed two people coming your way.
