The next day, you noticed something was off. Usually you would be woken up by Heizou coming at your window, but this time he didn't. You thought he was probably busy so you'd be going to see him at his work. You quickly prepared yourself and went to the Narukami Island.
When you arrived everyone seemed busy and in rush. Ah yes, tonight there was a little festival with fireworks. Maybe you could go with Heizou? Talking about him, he was right in front of you talking with Kujou Sara, you didn't want to interrupt them so when your eyes met his you smiled and waved. After a moment of discussing together, Kujou Sara finally left and Heizou approached you.
"Hi, how are you, y/n?"
This was the first time since a long time that he called you by your name instead of cute nicknames. It destabilized you a bit you said nothing.
"I-I'm fine and you."
"Kind of on the rush right now because of the festival, but I'm fine. Want to grab something to drink?"

"You didn't come this morning" you pointed out, a bit of disappointment in your voice.
"A-Ah, yeah, sorry, I was busy." he answered still not looking at you.
For some reason, you could tell it was a lie.
"You're lying?"
"No? No I was busy, really."
You felt like he was still lying but you gave up, thinking it was useless and that he won't say anything.
"If you say so."
"By the way, mind to spend time with me during the festival? I'll be free so it be nice to bet... together, I mean have fun together stuff like that, you know" he said.
He sounded so nervous right now. Which wasn't his type at all. What was wrong with him?
