Hi! It's been a minute. How are you guys doing?
I'm not sure if you guys remember, but back in like late 2019ish (wait no prolly early-mid 2020? idk) Disney (I think it was them) did an April Fool's prank on us that there would be a Keeper movie coming out. Lol they got my friends and I all hyped up only for us to wake up the next day and realize that no, it was a joke T_T
Shannon and Disney both announced the movie now, so it's legit this time!! It's planned to come out roughly sometime in 2023. You can google it if you want the details.
I'm getting really really excited to hate on this new movie. I don't want it to become a movie because unless it's a cartoon, there's really no way to capture the books. I'm not saying the books were super deep or something, but they were really the type of story that can only make sense if you're reading it. I'm going to expect the worst because I don't want to be disappointed.
I personally feel that the characters will be very difficult to cast because if they are even slightly different, then it won't feel right. It will feel like Peter Johnson all over again (Deck Disney hehe). To be honest I'm also a little scared that the movies will ruin the series for me, but I'll try my best not to let it get to me.
What are your opinions on the kotlc movie? Are you excited?
